Access &

Opportunity

Notre Dame's rich program offerings and smaller student body translate to more opportunities for students. Our focus is on engaged learning, every day and for every student.

ATHLETICS

CAMPUS MINISTRY

Six co-curricular programs, more than 30 different clubs and organizations and a rich global education program provide students

GLOBAL EDUCATION

with myriad opportunities on and off campus. Over the last two years, 17 justice, leadership and cultural immersion trips have taken students to destinations around the world. Through these experiences, students learn to work with diverse populations in a variety of

ROBOTICS

settings to build global perspective, cultural competency and cultural fluency. On campus, Notre Dame co-curricular offerings are led by adults with area expertise who provide guidance and structure while allowing students to learn by doing and experiencing rather than simply watching.

SPEECH & DEBATE

Students are encouraged to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. They are empowered to create and build and, if they fail, try again. This unique approach cultivates resilience, builds hands-on skills and helps students develop a growth mindset,

STUDENT LEADERSHIP

understanding that learning is a process without limits or preconceived boundaries. Our young women develop voice and experience in an empowering environment.

"Staying in Yancolo was the most impactful part of my immersion trip to El Salvador because I stepped out of my comfort zone and was able to bond with the children of the village."

"Speech and debate is one of my favorite programs at Notre Dame. We are able to grow our voices as young women in the community and advocate for important issues with confidence. Through speech and debate we are also able to meet new people and utilize our voices in co-ed environments."

Student Leadership

"With so many positions available, a large group of Notre Dame girls are shaped to become examples of women’s leadership. This year, being in Freshman Link, I have helped plan and run events for freshmen. I have gained the ability to get the attention of a room of people, and developed organizational, planning and speaking skills. ND leadership opportunities empower us to show that everyone, especially women, have a voice and can make a change."

"One of my favorite classes was Introduction to Photography. We learned about different photography compositions, studied some photographers, and learned how to use film cameras and how to develop the film in the school’s dark room. It was a great creative atmosphere with an additional bonus of being able to walk downtown to shoot our photos."

"Going to an all-girls school means that you will see women everywhere: women in speech and debate, women building robots, women taking the lead in plays and a woman as president of the student body. This inspires other students to branch out and dedicate themselves to activities that they might not have considered because they are not 'traditionally' for girls."
