Access &
Opportunity
Notre Dame's rich program offerings and smaller student body translate to more opportunities for students. Our focus is on engaged learning, every day and for every student. Six co-curricular programs, more than 30 different clubs and organizations and a rich Global Education program provide students with myriad opportunities on and off campus. Over the last two years, 24 justice, leadership and cultural immersion trips have taken students to destinations around the world. Through these experiences, students learn to work with diverse populations in a variety of settings to build global perspective, cultural competency and cultural fluency. On campus, Notre Dame co-curricular offerings are led by adults with area expertise who provide guidance and structure while allowing students to learn by doing and experiencing rather than simply watching. This unique approach cultivates resilience, builds hands-on skills and helps students develop a growth mindset, understanding that learning is a process without limits or preconceived boundaries.

"Staying in Yancolo was the most impactful part of my immersion trip to El Salvador because I stepped out of my comfort zone and was able to bond with the children of the village."

"In my freshman year I participated in speech and debate which allowed me to grow my public speaking, creative writing and organizational skills. It also improved my general confidence. My experience in speech and debate has encouraged me to take on leadership roles, such as that of an ambassador, and to walk confidently into an interview."

Leadership& Activities
"Notre Dame offers a number of leadership opportunities for all students and I have definitely benefited from several of the opportunities I have taken on. As a homeroom representative this past year, I was able to practice and improve my leadership skills by working with other students in my homeroom and on class council. I also developed skills in organization, communication and problem-solving."

"Notre Dame offers students a chance to work with professional theater equipment while being a part of a student-designed and student-led production. Our VAPA classes provide a safe place for students to explore new interests and co-curricular opportunities to support what they have learned in class."

"Notre Dame's co-curricular programs give students many different ways to be a leader. Everyone is truly valued and everyone's voice is heard. This creates not just one, but many strong leaders. ND gives all of their students a chance to lead, build up confidence and make themselves heard. ND makes all their students feel valued, pushes for equality and teaches future generations how to achieve."
