Novasil Water-repellent siloxane paint with high permeability GENERAL FEATURES Novasil is a water-based coat made of styrene and acrylic co-polymers, and siloxane resins with high permeability and water-repellence. The selection of charges and pigments build up a film with lower thickness than the usual synthetic paints, and allow the structure of the substrate to be read. USES Novasil is highly permeable and waterrepellent therefore perfectly compatible with all existing mineral and synthetic substrates. Thanks to the high erosion resistance and water-vapor permeability rate Novasil is highly recommended as: Finishing coat for facades with no moulding protection and with high exposure to atmospheric agents New renderings or plasters Pre-existing lime plasters Concrete or prefab IDENTIFICATION FEATURES Binder nature: water-based acrylic and styrene co-polymer, with siloxane modifying agents. Density: Novasil White: 1,66 +/- 0,05 g/ml Novasil Base Deep: 1,52 +/- 0,05 g/ml Novasil Base Accent: 1,45 +/- 0,05 g/ml PERFORMANCES Novasil guarantees the following performances: . Easy application . Long-lasting length . Strong adherence . High covering . High resistance against weathering agents DILUTION Isosilcolor (colored highly permeable water-based siloxane primer): 20-40% with water Novasil: dilute the first and the second coat 25-30% with water.
WARNING Properly mix the product before coloration and application. Do not apply on wet /fresh surfaces, wait for a maturation period of 4 weeks normally. SUBASTRATE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION (T=25°C; UR=60%) The substrate must be perfectly smooth, dry, dust-free, with no humidity and salt stains. Apply one coat of Isosilcolor diluted. After at least 4 hours apply one coat of Novasil diluted with a brush, a thin roller or a spray-gun. Smooth eventual imperfections or exceeding amounts of product. After at least 12 hours apply a second coat of Novasil diluted with a brush, a thin roller or a spray-gun. Drying time: about 24 hours depending on the kind of support and its absorption rate, in stable weather conditions. RECOMMENDATIONS The material must be applied protected from cold and high heat changes during the entire application. Do not apply with air, support and products temperature lower than +5°C or higher than +35°C, nor under direct sun light, nor under superheated surfaces (even if already in shadow). The application of Novasil on exterior walls requires the choice of light colors and the use of colorants resistant in outdoors. It is advisable to complete each work with materials from the same batch of production. TOOLS CLEANING With water, immediately after their use.
