Every order entered has an individual tracking number that is integrated into the upper logo. With this ID, the climate neutrality of the printed product from the point of ordering to the offset with CO2 can be traced.

To ensure we are always putting the well-being of our asso cia tes first, we also partner with the most rigorous labour condi tions expert in textiles that we know: Fair Wear Foundation. Fair Wear Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation with the mission to improve working conditions globally in the textile and apparel industries. We have been working with Fair Wear Foundation since 2013 to ensure the well-being of workers involved in the manufacturing of our textile products.

HIGHER CHEMICAL STANDARDS

One of our priorities is making top performance products that are safe for both humans and the environment. Our goal is to control the entire lifecycle of our products – from raw material, through the production process, to the finished product. Our products are manufactured according to the OBERALP CHEMICAL POLICY. The document estab lishes a formal process to ban or limit the presence and use of hazardous substances in our products and production process es. It is even stricter than the legal limits and thus guarantees safety and compliance. Our chemical policy is a central part of the Conditions of Purchase with our suppliers, and it’s mandato ry at every stage of the production and distribution process.

PROUD TO BE A bluesign ® PARTNER

We also work with expert partners and third-party certifi cations, such as bluesign®. We have been bluesign® system partners since 2011 and today a large portion of the fabrics used in our products are certified. bluesign® seeks to eliminate hazardous substances starting at the first stage of the manufac turing process and guarantees a safe and clean supply chain for the environment and for everyone involved at every step. Additionally, we work with an external and independent chemical laboratory to conduct tests on our products every season to ensure they are meeting our strict internal standards.

PFC-FREE DURABLE WATER REPELLENTS (DWR)

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) are a type of chemical used to make products resistant to water, grease and stains. PFCs guarantee best-in-class performance for our technical apparel that needs to be both water-repellent and still allow humidity to exit. The problem with PFCs is that they are linked to negative health effects in humans, animals and nature. Both during the produc tion and use phases, PFCs are released into the environment and are persistent. This means they degrade very slowly in nature and can also travel easily though water and wind. They then end up in our food chain. For this reason, since 2014 we have completely eliminated long-chain PFCs (C8) from all our products. All our water-repellent (DWR) products now either contain shorter-chain PFCs (C6) or are 100% PFC-free. We’re continuously working to increase the number of PFC-free DWR treatments in our products.

For our most technical products to be used in extreme weather conditions, it is necessary to apply C6 DWR treatment to ensure full weather protection and warmth. We are continuously invest ing to further reduce the use of C6-chemicals in our fabrics and significantly increase the number of PFC-free products without compromising on user-safety performance. Please note that contamination from PFCs cannot be excluded.

These DYNAFIT pants have been with Benedikt Böhm for more than 500,000 meters of vert – on expeditions and in training. The high point: Climbing the 7,246-meter-high Dhaulagiri VII – in a record time of 6 hours and 6 minutes.

MADE IN EUROPE

As an innovator and developer of technical equipment and gear for mountain sports, it remains our biggest challenge to work sustainably. Social responsibility for people and nature is a given.

Fair working conditions, high quality standards, shorter transport distances – all of this saves resources and is our highest priority in our search for appropriate production facilities in Europe. We are working constantly on shifting more production facilities to Europe. When it comes to bindings and ski touring boots, 100 % of production occurs in in Germany respectively in Italy; textiles are still in large part imported from Asia. However, we pay special attention here to ensure safe and fair working conditions in all our factories.

MADE WITH RECYCLED CONTENT

The styles marked with “made with recycled content” contain at least 50 % recycled content in their main fabrics. The recycled polyester used in our collection is mostly made from post-consumer PET bottles. Existing plastic is melted down and spun into new polyester fiber, also known as rPET. This means we reduce our dependence on petroleum and we use “waste” as the raw material.

By using post-consumer recycled plastic to create our recycled fibers, we are also diverting plastic from ending up in landfills. Studies show that the production of recycled polyester saves more than 50 % of CO2 emissions and energy compared to virgin polyester, reducing the overall environmental impact of the product. Most of the shirts made of polyester are also recyclable, meaning their fabric can be fed back into the production cycle.

RESPONSIBLE DOWN STANDARD – RDS

100 % of the down used for our products is certified based on the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). RDS is currently the most comprehensive independent certification standard for animal welfare and traceability for down globally. It guarantees that ducks and geese are treated well for their lifetimes. The certification standard examines and scrutinizes every step of the supply chain all the way down to animal farms.

Fill out the new customer registration form with all the necessary information. Within 24 hours, you will receive your login details for access.

At serviceportal.oberalp.biz, a dialogue box will ap pear to request your login details. Input your user name and password. Click on “Log in”.

In the B2B portal, we offer all products of the OBERALP Group available for each country. First, choose the collection from which you want to order by clicking on the brand. You can select any collection for which you have access.
