Jan Foretník, Ph.D. The task was to deﬁne a new role of the river Svratka in the everyday life of the city Brno. After the research and creation of few small interventions I choosed the place under the dike. It is a place which have a big potential to become a point attracting the ihabitants to spent a free time there. I designed the urban concept connecting city structure of both sides of the river into the centre point. In the concept of water-axes-dominante is designed the main building of the Pavilion of Natural activities. It is a part of the ZOO which is located nearby. The Pavilion consists of a cafeteria, an educational centre, a holiday accomodation and a gallery. The exhibitions space continues into the spaces inside the tower. Tour through the building culminate in the view terace on the top of tower.

The aim of the bachelor thesis ws to create new corner building on the waterfornt in Přerov city. Detailed analysis helped me to found right target group and formed volume of building. Three main volumes = three directions. Inner atrium as an oposite of busy waterfront. Private place for relaxation. Contrast of privacy and public space as a concept. Public space for everybody, transparency, interconnection between inner space and street. Flats and spartments - privacy, secrets, closing - it depends on each resident, how many wants to show from his privacy.

brod historic x new city studio project supervisor: doc. Ing. arch. Iva Poslušná, Ph.D. Ing. arch. Jan Foretník, Ph.D. The goal of this semster work was to ﬁnish previous idea project water+city. Uherský Brod - royal town. I made a strategy for living in this town, analyzed the problem and I designed a project which was a solution - how to connect unpopular southern part of city with historical and busy center? Project is designed as a bridge over the barrier of highway E50 towards to the river Olšava. It creates sound barrier and together with trees creates place for recreation nearby river. The building complex is consisting of small shopping units, created from prefabricated concrete panels. Finally you can break unit down and take to other place. Units as a whole volume creates entrance gate for passing cars. New symbol of the cily. SUPER CENA !!!

stazione italian shopping gallery studio project supervisor: prof. Ing. arch. Helena Zemánková, CSc. Pietrasanta - italian town with old marble tradition. International workshop with students from Italy, France and Germany was the firs step of our semester work. The goal of workshop was to find a solution for town urbanismus and for selected problems. After finishing we worked separately and each of us had one place in the city. Stazione = place, where is only automatic ticket machine machine. Rails as a border between old and historic city. And a new shopping gallery as an atractor and new interconnection. Form shows a piece of sliced marble which is trimmed towards to the see and to the mountains on the other side.

Prof. BFH with: Ján Ertl BFH plans to build a new university campus in Biel. The aim of summerschool was to find an innovative solution for student’s living on top of existing buildings. GM factory - the host building for our intervention. This space has rich history in development of car technologies but nowadays is used as the car park. It is a dead space between the city centre and the Lake of Biel. Situating of the campus will activate this gap. We decided to keep the GM building and add living units inwards. Every student has his own living unit. The units can be moved - to park it on the roof, fill up the water tank, to use vacuum cleaner... Units are flexible and could be joined. Unlimited flexibility - take your unit away and be free!

Complete project of small family house in passive standart. Wood structure - all technical and structure plans, details, low energy composition of walls, roof and ďŹ&#x201A;oors. Heating with solar system. 10x10m, wood fasade.

Kateřina Škarková Warer + curve = new type of cooling in Barcelona. This project was made during the BFH summerschool Learning from Barcelona. One fashion designer and his free building site. Our task - fashion studio with atelier. Something crazy (like him) and interesting for customers. One curve - continuous space. Ten steps - new space - turn left and three steps up - new space. Water as an atractor. You can hear it but it is still hidden. Finall ﬂoor and the falling water. Visual connection with private atelier. Black facade and one window - the end of commercial space.

binntal valley old school reconstruction 1

workshop project with: Zdeněk Chmel Marion Vanlauwe Binn is a city at the end of the valley with too steep slopes. The aim of workshop was to find a way how to attract city and bring more tourist to the city. To fulfill this idea we had to use a building of the old school. We decided to create a centre for regeneration of overworked and tired Swiss. We kept the outside walls and designed an inner construction with new floors. We created a new underground floor which consists of a relaxation spaces. The atmosphere is created by the light - coming from the square through the small openings. The building is connected with the promenade - the new tourist trail through the Binntal valley.

Wash up! And stay fresh. Flexible sanitary unit was created as a main task in advanced design studio at FA VUT in Brno. Sanitary object for workholics, exhibicionists and simply - for smelly people. The concept of unit is based on the idea of ďŹ&#x201A;exibility. Like a tent - easy to build up. Construction creates supporting frame - it is up to you - you can create your own bathroom sink and shower according to your needs.

Me and my alter ego. Short movie was made at BFH in Burgdorf during Erasmus stay. The goal of this task was to create movie loop and present it on scholl movie exhibition. The story is about alter ego in each person. With more and more bad things, which we are doing, is our alter ego stronger and deeper. Deeper and deeper. Box in box. And this box in other box. Till the end. And back.

Jan Foretník, Ph.D. with: Pavlína Lišková River Svratka in Brno city. 25 kilometres - our master projekt before diploma thesis. We worked together in small teams and our task was clear - ﬁnd solution how to change river as a barrier to river as a place in the city, place for the city and people. We made research and created working version of questionnaire. This document we used on the special places along the river. this brought to us place, which are different, have special atmosphere and type of river side. 22 points, which divided river into 22 parts. Points of separation (shows to us different character of river) and also points of connection (points of interest along the river)

Water and town - find place with water, which is missing something and solve this problem. Small water dam laying between three villages. Many people during the year. Fishermen, swimmers, turists, hockey players or ice skaters. Many individual persons - different needs. Idea to bring flexible units to this area. Sleeping units for fishermen in autumn will be changed to background for party in summer time or buffet with hot wine for lovers of wintertime sports.

poruba living for old people in Ostrava workshop project with: Joanna Urbanowicz Lucie Bartuskova Darina Šuhajová Pavel Řihák Ostrava - Poruba. This is one of the most interesting part of the city. Built in socialistic realism style. Internatonal workshop has to ﬁnd solutions on existing problems here. Building for singles, small families, no places for children, missing care for old people. My team got a problem with old people. We create a concetp based od one old Polish proverb: you cannot transplate old trees. We design a reconstruction of old staying houses on apartments for senior and nearby we created new building care and communal centre.

NECY company bought new building site. Goal of our work was to design new storehall with administrative part and create plan of extension for next 10 years. We ceated a simplne volume which was formed during the process. Sun for heating and for natural light, position on the site and economic space were the main aspects.

architectural workshop with: Milan Šuška Jaroslav Šiška Village Vlachovice made a mistake. In past lend their community centrum to bad person. For six year this businessman created here loud disco. Contract is ﬁnished and they got back old building in bad condition. Our task was to ﬁnd a solution, how to bring new life to the centrum of village and create new manual how to use complex. In 3 days we have to convince the village that enerything isn‘t lost.

Color feeling is depend on a mood of young woman - she can change main wall --> many pieces of pillows or she can move them away for day without color
