Ever since its foundation in 1978, Spielbank Hamburg has been the city’s leading venue for sophisticated casino entertainment. over 1.5 billion euros (as of 31.12.2019) in tax revenues for the city of Hamburg. The company currently employs around 300 staff in its four locations. Throughout its history, Spielbank Hamburg has repeatedly proven to be an innovative pioneer in terms of service quality, technology and player protection. In 2003, at its Mundsburg location, it was the first German casino to install a biometric recognition system for access control. In 2005, Spielbank Hamburg became the first major casino in northern Germany to be certified according to the international DIN ISO EN 9001: 2000 standard.
