New X2 River Kwai Resort to open in July 2014 Asia’s Leading Design Hotel Chain X2 (CrossTo) announces a new property on the Kwai Noi River in Kanchanaburi, Thailand March 31, 2014 (Bangkok, Thailand); Asia-Pacific hotel management, development and consulting group, Boutique Hospitality Management Asia (BHMAsia) has announced the opening of a new design resort X2 River Kwai in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. X2 River Kwai is due to open in July 2014 with 8 luxurious cabins, with plan to add 18 more villas to the project in mid 2015.

Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel Located on the Top Floors of Japan’s Brand New Tallest Building, the “Abeno Harukas” Bangkok, March 17th, 2014 - Marriott Hotels, the flagship brand of Marriott International, and Miyako Hotels & Resorts announces the highly anticipated opening of the Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel, the first property for the brand in Osaka and the fourth in Japan. Marriott Hotels has partnered with Miyako Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of the Kintetsu Corporation, to create the new co-branded hotel in Kintetsu’s “Abeno Harukas”, a brand new 300-meter ultra-high rise complex with 60 stories above ground and five stories underground, making it the tallest building in Japan.

China’s Qingdao Airlines takes delivery of its first A320 Start-up airline chooses Airbus to launch operations

Qingdao Airlines, a Chinese start-up airline, has taken delivery of the company’s first ever aircraft, an Airbus A320 aircraft equipped with Sharklets, on lease from Hong Kong-based China Aircraft Leasing Company (CALC). The airline will become a new operator of the world’s best-selling single-aisle aircraft and make its first commercial flight from its home base of Qingdao in Eastern China to Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan Province in Southwestern China, later in April.

MIXED DESIGN AS DESIRE Iniala Beach House Phuket, Thailand SITUATED ON NATAI BEACH FACING UNINTERRUPTED VIEWS OF THE TURQUOISE ANDAMAN SEA IS A 10-SUITE PRIVATE RESIDENCE SPREAD OVER 3 INDIVIDUAL VILLAS AND A PENTHOUSE. All is designed by 10 different international designers from Brazil, Spain, Thailand, UK, Russia, USA and Ireland. The Beach House is intended to deliver a fusion of Eastern and Western European contemporary design. Some interiors are inspired by organic curves and natural materials, whilst the others are drawn to the minimalist design and contemporary craft. For instance, British designer Graham Lamb has created sumptuous carved roofs clad in teak to reďŹ&#x201A;ect Thai traditions in contemporary villas. Eggarate Wongcharit also created Villa Siam with a Thai Buddhist design for hanging beds and sofas in golden, wooden, and white colors.

At surface value, Macao may be famous for its world-class entertainment, and of course, its gigantic casino industry which has already surpassed Las Vegas. But if you take some time to explore the true treasure of Macao, you will be amazed by its traditional and cultural charms. The city center is a great place to start a real Macao adventure through a labyrinth of small streets and alleyways. We took time strolling along Rua de Cinco de Outubro and Rua da Felicidade Streets where the magic of bygone era still lingers. Both of these walking streets are packed with traditional shops that offer unique tradition and art, from charming antiques, and reproductions, to old Portuguese stamps and coins, traditional paints, porcelain, and herbal medicine.

Rua de Cinco de Outubro has been the home of old fashioned shops and cafes for decades, if not centuries. These family-run shops are the living history of Macao and it’s clear that this is where the soul of Macau really lies. Rua da Felicidade is a little different than Rua de Cinco de Outubro as it was once the heart of Macau's red lights district. Today, the red lights entertainments are replaced by authentic shops and restaurants. The restaurants may not look 5-stars, but they are some of the most famous eateries in Macao. Street food is always another great way to experience the true lifestyle of the locals, and the walking streets are full of small food shops. It’s quite wrong if you miss Macao’s Portuguese egg tart which is surely everyone’s favourite and they are found everywhere from small street kiosk to luxurious hotel café.
