Prep for Your Session Family Portraits 2017-2018
Freshen Up We know how busy you and your family members are this time of the year, but it is important to have everyone looking and feeling their absolute best before your portrait session!
Relax
We know it is stressful organzing your family for a photo session. Breath easy knowing that once the session gets rolling, we’ll take perfect care of you and your loved ones. Prepare for a few hours of fun in a stressfree, relaxing environment. Our studio is equipped with comfy couches, coffee and candles!

Hair
Get everyone a haircut a week before the session. Everyone will look fresh and well put together. And Dad, make sure you shave that stubble the morning of the session or whenever you think necessary to look smooth and sophistacted.
Iron
Make sure everyone’s outfit is pressed, steamed, ironed, or whatever it takes to look photo ready.

Bring Extras Bring an extra shirt for your messy child, a second pair of more comfortable shoes for yourself. A belt for Dad! Don’t hesitate to bring absolutely everything you think you need to make your session absolutely perfect. Our Hollywood-style dressing room has plenty of space for you to spread out and feel at home.
Pamper

Organize Make sure everyone is notified of the session time and location. If this includes grandma and grandpa, aunts and uncles from out of town, make sure to confirm a few days before.
Outerwear
Especially with fall and winter family portraits, the weather doesn’t always cooperate. Make sure to have stylish and coordinating outerwear on hand for all kinds of weather. Layers are your best friend!

Plan
After your pre-consult with Nate, make sure everything is in order for the day of the session. Whether it is putting to good use the outfit suggestions Nate gave you and making sure everyone’s clothes are set for the day of or booking a special location for your family portrait. We do most of the work, but send you home with a little homework from time to time that is absolutely essential for the portrait session!
