Mikenzhie Smith
Tech Fundamentals, Fall 2022 NPower Community Helpdesk
“Don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith especially if you want to take a huge pivot and are currently stagnant. There’s nothing wrong with being different and trying different things, surround yourself with people taking the path you want to take. Don’t be afraid to network, don’t be shy, try your best because no one’s perfect. And last but not least: don’t be afraid to ask for help! If I didn’t ask, I wouldn’t have gotten my current opportunity in the Baltimore Community Helpdesk!”
Student Speaker
Blake Morris Tech Fundamentals, Spring 2023
“What led me down the path to tech was that I could bring my people with me. Tech is such an open field for anyone that wants to get put on. The reason I chose NPower was because I love the Baltimore region’s origin story, a man wanted to give back to his people.”
Student Speaker
Sadé Beverley Tech Fundamentals, Spring 2023
“One thing I would tell my younger self is how proud I am of her, for overcoming fears and accomplishing goals she “never” thought she could accomplish”
