INTRODUCTION
Since the very beginning, SUNWILL has been about making high quality clothes for well-dressed men. Our story began in 1963, in Sundby, Northern Denmark. SUNWILL was established as an exclusive tailor. In 1989, Carl J. Engel brought SUNWILL into the fold of the F.ENGEL Group; an innovative, successful family business, which pioneered the
development of workwear in Denmark since 1927 and had become specialists in men’s trousers. A natural match, the family and successful business shared many of the same values of the original SUNWILL company; communityminded, customer-focused, purposefuland fixated on pushing the boundaries of garment production..

With decades of experience and knowledge in designing comfortable formalwear, the passion and ambition of 4th. generation owners John and Lars Engel, together with their dedicated team, continued to push the boundaries in new material innovation in the category, with multiple patented designs and collections that have quietly revolutionised
menswear. Getting the right fit, the right style, the right fabric, the right details and making things in the right way so that our customers felt right has always been our focus, since the very beginning. We embrace this past as we look to our future; through changing times, we focus on fit.

We have a commitment to produce garments which look good for longer. We deliver style that is timeless; crafted from materials which are designed to last. Blending traditional tailoring methods with our modern material craft, every choice is carefully considered–from the choice of fabric, its fibres and weave–to the construction of the design. Each weave chosen is the right fit for the garment’s purpose–be it structured, such as Oxford or Herringbone for
formal wear, or a Plain, Linen or Twill for casual wear.
Our speciality derives from our expertise in trouser making and decades of experience producing textiles.
We combine fabric with stretch to craft garments which are versatile and durable enough to cross style boundaries, so they can be worn all-day, every day, for all occasions.

By using a special fabric, these clothes are less likely to crease, even after sitting for many hours. The fabric corrects itself and looks almost freshly ironed. Traveller is most suitable for frequent travellers – or those who need to be presentable and crease-free all day long. The Traveller range consists of many pieces and styles, and contains business attire for both men and women.

COLOUR SAFE / WATER AND DIRT REPELLENT — FOR EXTRA DURABILITY
Business wear needs to be more than just comfortable and presentable, it also needs to be durable and tolerate extra wear. The colour safe technology is a special colour method that makes colours more durable. The fabric is prepared and treated before it is coloured, which binds the colours to the material. This method results in extremely durable colours, which don’t fade or turn grey – even after multiple washes.
To avoid stains forming on the clothes, we add a special water and dirt repellent finish on selected pieces. This finish acts as a special layer that prevents liquid from penetrating the fibres. Any spillages on the clothes will just glide off without leaving any visible marks.

SUPER STRETCH JEANS — FOR BETTER COMFORT
A nice pair of jeans is the perfect attire for a more casual look. However, the problem with many jeans is that the fabric can seem stiff and inflexible, which is hardly optimal if your job requires you to sit for long periods of time.
The Super Stretch fabric contains larger quantities of elastic fibres than other stretchy fabric. The elastic fibres woven into the fabric make it extra flexible, so that it follows the body’s movements. As well as providing supreme comfort, super stretch clothing stands out by its ability to return to its original shape, and thus keeping its shape for longer.

A GREENER FUTURE
LOGISTICS/TRANSPORTATION
To ensure that we work on lowering our environmental impact we monitor all our logistics data to ensure we optimize our shipments, receive CO2 data and avoid airfreight as much as possible. By using ocean freight, having our own production facility in Europe and working with our logistics suppliers on our third-party suppliers, we have a very low CO2 emission on transportation.
PACKAGING AND MATERIALS
We want to reduce waste both inhouse, in the production loop, and with the customers. We have reduced our packaging on shipping goods, but also on the clothes. We want to ensure that we look at our efforts to reduce packaging materials and increase the recycled plastic content in our polybags and shipping bags from 80% to 100%.
Our cardboard packaging is FSC certified, it’s being marked according to waste due diligence directives in the EU and we removed excess elements, that were just old habits and looked for greener alternatives to conventional materials.
BSCI MEMBER
We base our compliance programme on the BSCI Code of Conduct, which comprises eleven principles for running an ethical and socially responsible business.
LIFETIME GARMENT
Before we send our clothes to production, we subject them to rip, pull, wear, colour and washing tests to ensure that we produce workwear with a high quality, so the clothing will have a longer lifetime.

We are proud members of Better Cotton. We are committed to sourcing 10% of our cotton as “more sustainable cotton” by 2024.
AUTOMATED WAREHOUSE
Our robotic warehouse improves the workplace efficiency of any working day, requiring less running and lifting. Extremely energy efficient, it can run 24 hours a day without the need for light or heat.
RE:TURN
At SUNWILL, we offer a takeback solution called RE:TURN, as part of our environmental strategy. With RE:TURN, your company can hand in used clothing and give new life to the valuable raw materials that the clothes are made of.
