INSPIRATION SOURCE My chosen pattern is natural pattern which is specified in plant pattern. Many architectural building inspired me to build my idea based on plant pattren.in the left side building is 'burj dubai' is a supertall skyscraper which is based on plant pattern and the second one is Palm island Dubai which shows the inspiration of alive pattern which is plant. the third one is '0-14 tower' was designed by Shaba lutfi,this building represent the skin of plant. Based on these building. I decided that my model represents nature by having two layer skin regarding to '014 tower,

Recap of ideation and design
According to my pattern it can be seen that it compromise of triangle and circular shape .this pattern is based on rotation of triangle in different angles and different size of circles and triangles .in order to achieve my clay model and I decided to expand this pattern by rotation triangles with 45 , 90 , 180 angles. I moved different scaled circle in vertical direction.my final model consist of two triangle in 180 degree to each other and repetition of different scaled circles.
In this part I found that I lost the direction to follow the idea of nature and geometrical shape which is based on triangular and circular shape.

LIGHTING EFFECT
From countered model i optimized my model to make its surface more even in order to have more appropriate panels. Refers to my inspiration which was plant pattern according to two layers buildings such as '0-14 tower’ build by shahab lutfi and Polanco designed by Rojkind Arquitectos and Esrawe Studio I decide to use two layers effect for my lighting effect. also I decide to use extrude light to make my lighting effect more deepre I get this idea from lecture and also the building which is designed by Metaform Architects. 4

DESIGN OPTIMISING I contoured physical model to transfer my clay model in to the rhino but I found that its surface is not even and it is not suitable to apply panelling tool on that.by applying cage edit I make it even and more convenient.to have two layers model I use offset surface command with distance of 5cm .
My completed model has 3D panel. The inner layer has extrude light effect .i used fin edge command with distance of 5cm to avoid overlapping between two layers.i used fin edge command with diamond curve for second layer.

The main problem was about how two layers are attached together and how to avoid falling of first layer into outer layer. I decided to attach two layers by applying extra surf and tab one some sides of two side of inner layer. To attach strips of inner layer I use triangulate tabs on the diagonal parts and draw them with poly line command. if or second layer I create tabs by this command again.

Lighting installation In order to have light in my lantern I decided to have circuit in it with LED. There are 6 LED which are 3 small and 3 medium size .they connected to each other by wire which has two branch one goes to positive part and the other goes to negative side of battery container which has two 2V battery. 8
FABRICATION PROCESS THIS UNROLLING THE DIAGOANL PART OF INNER LAYER WHXIH ARE DISTINGUISHED BY DIFFERENT COLORS.

UNROLLING THE INNER PART but straight strips, in this part is not same as before and I didn’t face overlapping so I don’t need to divide them in to part and put extra tabs same as before.
UNROLLING DIFFERENT PARTS The unrolling part of outer layer with its strips, in order to attach long strips together I use short strips with tabs on each side, all strips are not the same as we go middle of the model the length of strips become smaller

Fabrication process At first I make each strip and put the together finally I hade a surface ,I push first and last strips together and make it circular.

FINAL MODELS This model inspired by nature with two layer skin which has two layer light effect. also it has extrude effect which comes from inner layer by triangle shape. The second layer follow inner layer pattern but in wider scale.
