Naval Support Activity Naples Detachment (NSAND) Gaeta Drinking Water Notice
UPDATE ON DRINKING WATER IN GAETA - FORMIA AND SURROUNDING AREAS NSAND Gaeta Fleet Landing and Olde Mill Inn - Drinking water has been declared POTABLE and fit for consumption by the USNH Preventive Medicine Authority. Daily drinking water test results have shown improvement in the quality of the water delivered to Fleet Landing and Olde Mill Inn facilities. Additionally, the drinking water test results confirm the water supply is now meeting the required Navy Final Governing Standards and USEPA criteria for potability and consumption. NSAND Gaeta Personnel were notified on 7 March 2013 that the drinking water in Gaeta and surrounding areas had been declared non-potable by the U.S. Naval Hospital Naples (USNH) Preventive Medicine Authority (PMA) because of high Turbidity levels. Since that time, USNH PMA has been conducting daily drinking water sampling at NSAND Gaeta Fleet Landing and at the Olde Mill Inn.
