Champions for North Shore Community College

Rosalin Acosta, MA Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development, was awarded the 2019 Champions in Education Award for Public Service & Advocacy.

Following a successful inaugural event in 2017, the NSCC Foundation proudly celebrated its distinguished second- and third-year Champions honorees at the annual Champions for North Shore Community College Recognition Breakfast with nearly 300 business and community leaders in attendance. The prestigious NSCC Champions Award is presented to exceptional leaders dedicated to excellence in higher education for residents of the North Shore and beyond, with recognition for philanthropy and volunteerism, community impact, and public service and advocacy. Presenting Sponsors included Eastern Bank, Comcast, the Caleb Loring Jr. and Rosemary M. Loring Charitable Gift Fund, and R.T. Paine and Barbara Metcalf. Net proceeds benefit NSCC student essential needs initiatives.
