p This year’s class of young players at the Dargaville Tennis Club is one of the biggest ever mustered, with coaches putting the success down to the improved facilities offered by Dargaville’s Sportsville complex. President Peter Bond, coach Chris Fife and club secretary Martine Topia are excited to see the progress among their 35 young proteges, who gather each Wednesday for practice on the courts where netball was played during winter. “It’s great to see so many kids interested in learning a new sport, getting outdoors and having fun. We don’t need them to have any previous experience because we can teach the fundamentals and still have a great time,” said the coaching staff.

The council CEO says that the council is reinforcing its commitment to its customers, the public, with a new emphasis on engagement with the community. That has prompted a review of how the council’s internal business units
are grouped and the roles of the organisation’s leadership team. “Kaipara District Council is entering a new phase, where we are focussing more closely on customer and community needs, learning to respond more quickly to change and becoming more
focussed on sustainable growth and service delivery. A key for us to achieve that is engaging with our community and delivering the kind of experience you expect.” continued on page 3 …

Police 24/7 for Dargaville u by Andy Bryenton
Police have announced that Dargaville’s police station will now be manned by frontline staff 24 hours a day seven days a week, a significant boost in law enforcement coverage for the town.
p Senior Constable Reuben Cohen outside Dargaville’s police station, where the law now works around the clock, manning the post 24/7
While the watch house itself will be open to the public from 8am to 4pm, there will be an officer ready to respond to emergencies at all hours, adding not just to a more rapid response time and peace of mind for locals, but also enhancing the utility of recently installed CCTV surveillance systems, which are administered from the police station. Senior constable Reuben Cohen agrees that this is a positive step forward for the town. “Increased staffing across the Kaipara and Whangarei region has made this possible,” he says. “With greater presence, we’re able to increase police visibility, public perception, and respond more readily to emergencies.”
The expansion in manned hours is effective immediately. It was coannounced via social media with a video featuring interviews with prominent locals, expressing positive opinions on the change. “I’m just delighted to hear that we’re going to have someone on call local here in Dargaville 24/7,” said kumara growing icon Warren ‘Ernie’ Suckling. Mayor Jason Smith was quoted as saying: “This community is safe, and it’s going to be even safer now.” Those who need to contact the police in an emergency should call 111. To report crimes, which have already occurred please call 105. ¢

Fire by permit only Hot and dry conditions have led to the imposition of a restricted fire status across the northern part of New Zealand, meaning it’s now the season to get a permit before lighting up. From 8am Tuesday, November 26, fire authorities advise that the fire season has been changed to ‘fire by permit only’ across the north. This status change applies for both urban and rural areas in the Far North, Whangarei and across the Kaipara district. The public is advised to go to checkitsalright.nz, an online fire safety resource, to make an application for a fire permit. It is also the place to
determine whether your planned fire is an ‘authorised’ fire, meaning that no permit is required. Hangis and barbecues, for example, fall into this category. There is no charge for permits. Moreover, this checking process allows our firefighters to know in advance what is going on, and to keep a close watch on conditions as we enter a dry, windy and hence hazardous part of the year.

Northpower election results u by Andy Bryenton
The results of this year’s Northpower Electric Power Trust elections have been made public, revealing the two candidates who have been elected from the Kaipara District Council area.

p Dargaville Hospice and Dargaville Hospital management and staff gather in the Kowhai Room, now undergoing the biggest remodelling and upgrade it has ever seen
The Kowhai Room allows the families and loved ones of hospice patients to gather around them and maintain the bonds of family in a time of need. It was established in March of 1993 thanks to a generous donation from the hospital’s chapel committee. The kowhai was used symbolically — as it is an icon of the New Zealand Hospice Society. Now, says hospice’s Annette Olsen, the room will be better suited to the needs of both patients and their relatives. “The refurbishment will involve moving the kitchenette and dining area out of the Kowhai Room, into the next-door lounge, with a door directly connecting them. The idea is to provide a separate space for family and friends to have a cuppa and a talk, allowing a bit of time out.”
It will also increase internal space, allowing for close family members to stay overnight. There are also plans for a possible outdoor area, making better use of the lawn and deck already adjoining the Kowhai Room. As a joint effort between the Dargaville Hospice, with funding flowing through from their affiliated Hospice Shop, and the Dargaville Hospital and DHB,— there are many people to thank. Annette, along with the hospice team, and the hospital’s management and nursing staff, wishes to thank all the supporters and volunteers who have made this major upgrade possible. It will increase the level of care and the scope of possible family engagement for patients who need it. ¢

p Chris Biddles
Sheena McKenzie and Chris Biddles have won the ballot according to figures released on Monday, following the close of voting on the weekend. Both candidates have expressed their gratitude to electors, who voted via mail to select seven trust members for the next three-year term. Five were elected from the Whangarei region, with two from the Kaipara. “Thank you for your vote of confidence in me,” says Chris Biddles. “I look forward to representing you and your interests throughout the next three years.” Sheena McKenzie also emphasised the duty of public responsibility, which comes with this role. “I’m thrilled to be re-elected on to the Northpower Electric Power
Trust and be protecting the Kaipara and Whangarei electricity and fibre networks. I consider that we are privileged to own these networks, and the contracting business via our shares in Northpower Ltd. It benefits our area enormously and I look forward to working with all other trustees to keep achieving good results for our consumers. I am very grateful and appreciative to voters for re-electing me for another term.” In total, 78,500 electors were asked to help select the members of Northpower’s trust. Reinforcing the fact that this large electricity and fibre provider is operated by the Northpower Trust on behalf of its customers throughout Whangarei and the Kaipara. ¢

Roaring success Matakohe author Ethan Mackie was proud to unwrap a carton of his freshly published masterpiece last week, showing it to students at the local primary school.
p Ethan Mackie and his friends check out the first printing of his first published book
The difference from a regular book launch is that this writer is the same age as his audience. When he was eight years old, Ethan came up with a short story about a dinosaur who shares his name and possesses a powerful, frightening roar. He wrote it down and sent it to his grandmother, who happens to be award-winning author Joy Cowley. She was impressed and suggested that he should get in touch with her illustrator friend Philip Webb to add colour and visuals to the tale. “I’ve never met him, but the pictures fit the story,” agrees Ethan, who has had his book published by the Copy Press in Nelson. The colourful dinosaurs run
into trouble with a T-Rex just as dinosaur Ethan loses his voice. However, there’s a happy ending to this story, aimed at young readers and parents who enjoy an interactive picture book to read to their kids. Ethan is not resting after his first success, he says that there’s a second book in the works. When the Lifestyler caught up with him at school he was busy creating original, illustrated monster pictures, which might be a part of it. Expect to see copies of Ethan’s Roar in your local library and school soon, or to get your copy contact the Matakohe school, where Ethan’s teachers have been very supportive of his publishing endeavour. ¢
Santa’s flight plan confirmed Santa parades are confirmed for all across the region, with a busy schedule laid out through the next month for the Man in Red, Father Christmas himself. The festive events run from November 30 through to December 21. First up is Wellsford’s Christmas parade, which hits the main street on November the 30, at 10.30am. Organisers promise a wide range of festive floats culminating in the arrival of our celebrity guest from the north pole. “It’s a busy time of the year, which means it’s great that the parade organisers around the Kaipara have all gotten in touch with my elves early,” says Santa, speaking via longdistance satellite. “With events in Dargaville, Maungaturoto, Mangawhai and Dargaville I’ll be trialling some new air-conditioned red suits in an attempt to beat the summer heat!” Dargaville’s big parade takes place on December 7 in Victoria Street, from noon. It’s followed up by a massive Whanau Fun Day at the

town’s municipal swimming pools, supported by the region’s Tamariki Collective, a bunch of civic-minded organisations and businesses who will put on a feast of games, activities, entertainment and of course a sausage sizzle. Mangawhai’s Santa parade follows on December 15 at the Heads end of town, with the festivities starting from 10am. There will be carols in the park that evening from 5pm to make this a complete family day of holiday cheer. Finally, Maungaturoto has the honour of presenting the final local Christmas parade of the season, on December 21, just before Saint Nick heads back to home base to get kitted out for the big night. This year the Christmas festival begins at 4pm and continues into the evening until 7pm.

New animal management officers hit the streets Kaipara District Council has three new animal management officers. Steve, Kim and Chris collectively bring a wealth of experience to the team and can draw on previous roles with Whangārei District Council, Waitakere City Council and the SPCA. The team agrees that public education will be a focus for their work. They’re also expecting an uptick in the number of complaints, as people start to realise complaints are being actioned, there may be a spike of enforcement action. “The safety of the community is our priority and educating people about responsible dog ownership is one way we can work towards that,” says Kim, who is keen to work closely with communities. “For example, when we see a dog out wandering we’ll try to find the owner so we can educate them about their responsibilities. We’ll also go into problem areas and door-knock to get to know the local people and their dogs,” she says. “Educating people is the best way to have a lasting effect on how they look after their dogs. We’ve been around a long time and we know what works.” Kim says the team will tailor their approach to meet the differing needs of communities across Kaipara. The team’s top advice for dog owners is to make sure their pets are registered and microchipped. “If your dog wanders and it’s registered and microchipped, we can easily return it to you. If there’s no way for us to identify who owns a wandering dog, it’s likely to end up in the pound,” says Steve. Registering and microchipping your dog are both legal requirements,

and dog owners who fail to do so are liable for a $300 fine for either infringement. “We want to encourage registration, and we’re keen to run a registration amnesty this summer so people can register their dogs without fear of a fine,” says Kim. For more information about owning a dog in Kaipara, visit the Dogs page on Council’s website, www.kaipara.govt.nz/dogs Call Kaipara District Council on 0800 727 059 for advice or assistance with animal control issues.

Maungaturoto’s Riverview Rest Home dementia unit community fund has been swelled by more than $4,000 in proceeds from last Saturday night’s Otamatea Marae bonfire night, and there is a move towards making the big night out an annual event.
Dargaville’s Christmas Fair is all set to take place this Saturday, with the parishioners of the town’s Anglican church working hard to put together a feast of traditional Yuletide crafts, treats and entertainment.

Gear up for a great day out u by Paul Campbell
It’s perhaps just as well that American TV host Stephen Colbert has flown home after his whirlwind tour of New Zealand, because he might have turned up at Kaipara’s premier fishing contest, which will have its 31st outing on Saturday, December 7. Since Colbert has screened New Zealand to millions of his US television watchers, American interest in visiting here has jumped 300 per cent. “We like to think the great fishing on the Kaipara is a well kept local attraction,” said Allan Jones, who is gearing up for the King of the Kaipara contest out of Kelly’s Bay. “You know what they say,” he quipped. Let’s keep it in the family.” The man behind the contest, Mike Nola, owner of Nola Sports in Dargaville, is arranging the King of the Kaipara Kingfish Tournament. He says this year, there will be a good focus on food at the site, with a hangi coming from Pouto as well as being prepared in Kelly’s Bay. With no liquor sales at the event — cool drinks will need to come in fishers’ chillybins. “Fishing gets underway at 7am and the weigh-in at 3.30pm — with prizes getting underway at 4pm,” he said.
The Kaipara Harbour tournament is a popular event on keen fisher’s calendars, whether they fish from a boat or the shore, in the inner harbour or outside the heads. Each year familiar faces return to try their luck. Kingfish, kahawai, trevally, snapper and gurnard are the targeted species, and in each of five categories, the heaviest three fish at weigh-in will win the successful anglers a selection of wide-ranging prizes. With kingfish leading the day’s catch list, the heaviest four kingfish in the team event will win the day. Prizes are only given for the five selected species, so the odd shark or stingray catch will be a waste of energy. Mike is grateful to sponsors for donating products, but most often, prizes are purchased from ticket sales. Spot prizes are also offered on the beach — so everyone at the contest has a chance to win.
p Mike Nola
Last year, more than 130 anglers were active participants. While the weather will always play a party in the event, the long-range outlook is fairly positive for another great Kaipara event. “I get a buzz out of providing a community event and promoting fishing,” says Mike. To enter the contest, buy a ticket from Nolas Sports, and get first-
hand information on tournament rules and safety out on the water. Anyone keen to have a go but new to fishing should call in and chat with Mike. He will offer friendly helpful advice, so whether you are a keen angler, or planning an excellent family day out, all are welcome at Kellys Bay on the day. ¢

Fishing advice is universal Kiwi fishers are a lucky lot as a glance through government advice to visitors to our shores indicate, including Tourism New Zealand, which says brightly that “sea fishing in New Zealand offers almost guaranteed fish.” Local anglers, however, have had the experience of less than successful outings on the Kaipara, fortunately though, not that often. The advice to tourists echoes best practice to all who get out on the water with reminders that each person aboard should have a correctly fitting life jacket. “Remember they only work when you are wearing them!” The inexperienced are told when hiring a boat: ‘familiarise yourself with the location of life jackets, radio equipment, correct use of the motor, bilge pump, etc and let someone know of your intentions. ‘Avoid excessive alcohol when operating a boat — just like driving a car, they don’t mix!’ A ‘catch and release’ philosophy is in keeping with New Zealand’s dedication to conservation and sustainable fishing’, visitors are told. Even in non-release areas, many anglers adopt the catch and release principle, and take enough home for a meal. When fishing, the catch and release method, anglers should realise that prolonged handling decreases the
fish’s chances of survival. Some tactics offered by tourist advisers to ensure fish live include “using tackle strong enough to bring the fish in quickly. So it doesn’t get overtired, avoiding damage to the eyes, gills, fins and body, and keeping the fish in the water so it can breathe.”
When the fish is released, it should be supported from underneath and let go facing the current. High summer temperatures lessen the fish’s chance of survival too, so care should be taken to quickly return fish to the water by gently lowering it in.
It also says fish are much hungrier during a spring tide and just before a storm is about to break, and that ‘peak fishing’ doesn’t necessarily coincide with the dawn, dusk, high or low tides. Confusing enough for locals, let alone visitors to our shores? ¢

Staying in touch at sea Communications on the water are an essential safety factor. For those fishers with a small boat, even perhaps those who are keen on the recent passion for kayak fishing, a VHF radio might be a little out of reach. However, boaties can stay in touch on the waves with a Coastguard app. Available from the App Store and Google Play, it gives boaties the ability to log a trip report from their smartphone from anywhere in the country.

Think water safety
“One of Coastguard’s core safety services is taking trip reports,” says CEO Patrick Holmes. “More than 250,000 trip reports are logged with Coastguard each year, which include information on where the boatie is heading, what time they expect to get there or return, and how many people they have on board. It ensures that should anything go wrong while they’re out on the water, we have a solid starting point to enable a quicker rescue.” “Every minute counts in an emergency on the water, so knowing where to start searching for someone who is missing — can mean the difference between life and death.” Up until now, boaties logging trip reports have done so through their VHF radio or by calling Coastguard on the phone. The new app provides users with the technology at their fingertips to add

their boat details, including their call sign, and nominate a designated shore contact who will be notified by text when the boatie is overdue and given advice on next steps to take. The app has been made possible with funding from BayTrust, the Auckland Maritime Foundation and several other community funders. BayTrust has worked closely with Coastguard during the last two years to create the app, contributing $100,000 towards its development and coordinating a further $146,000 worth
of contributions from other community trusts nationwide. More than just providing trip reporting services, the Coastguard app has upto-the-minute weather, wind, swell and tide information and the ability for boaties to save their favourite spots for quick access and detailed forecasts at the location. Coastguard also says the app doesn’t replace all aspects of safety on the water and emphasises that life jackets are essential on-board every craft. ¢

MARINE
u by Andy Bryenton
It’s getting warmer, and for recreational boaties, that means it’s time to dip the outboard in the brine and head out for some fishing action. For seasonal captains and their crew, there are a few top items to check off before heading for the ramp this summer, as compiled from our collective maritime safety authorities. First up is the call to have your engine double-checked. There are plenty of very competent and seasoned home mechanics out there who know all the parts that make an outboard tick. Still, two pairs of eyes are better than one when it comes to the single, sometimes temperamental device that’s keeping you from being adrift at sea. The pros also say, ‘if there’s any doubt, replace that impeller’. The tiny rubber piece, which helps cool the engine is prone to perishing. It is one key component that should be replaced to be safe rather than sorry, like the timing belt on a motor car. Safety is also paramount. After a year in storage, it’s a good idea to take a close look at things like anchors, ropes, chains and stays. Take the opportunity to ditch those old, worn-out life jackets and get into the new, lightweight variety, which inflates in an emergency. It’s also important to know you can raise the
coastguard if you need them. Ensure that a working emergency beacon is on board, with a marine radio too if at all possible. The final suggestion comes from boaties who have been caught-out right at the ramp. This season it’s easy to fixate on fixing up your vessel and forget the trailer that delivers it to the water. Police tend to be out in force to catch those who fail to update their trailer’s warrant of fitness this time of year, rightfully removing rusty or disintegrating trailers from the highways. A bit of TLC with some rustproofing agents is a great idea to aid in longevity, and a quick check by your local mechanic will have the paperwork all sorted. ¢

Dining & ENTERTAINMENT Kiwi Christmas cheesecake u by Andy Bryenton
Translating the hearty, hot and sometimes heavy Yuletide fare of the northern hemisphere to our summery festive season has never been easy. Some opt to ignore the temperature and serve up a feast fit for a medieval king at midwinter. Others opt for the full barbecue and miss out on turkey and plum pudding. However, there’s a middle way, as exemplified by this recipe. There are three parts to this dish — the base, the filling and the topping. To complete all three you’ll need; two tubs of premixed cheesecake filling, a dash of vanilla essence, one packet of shortbread biscuits, 100gm of butter, eight single shots of dark or spiced rum, two dessert spoons of grated preserved ginger, cinnamon to taste, a generous handful of pitted or glace cherries, a small bottle of cream (or canned whipped cream) and a medium-sized metal pan. Line the pan with baking paper and chill. Take the shortbreads, bag them,
and strike with a rolling pin until they are crumbled. Melt the butter, add four shots of rum, a sparing sprinkle of cinnamon and a dash of vanilla. Pour the butter mixture over the shortbread crumbs in the pan to form a base as thick as your index finger. Allow this to chill and set while making the filling. That is easily accomplished by mixing the preserved ginger, a little more cinnamon and the four further shots of rum into the cheesecake filling. Those with a sweet tooth may want to blend a little extra icing sugar into the mix, though rum can be quite sweet,

depending on which distillery it comes from. Once the mix is well stirred and whipped with a fork to aerate, spread evenly on the base. Chill, until the top can be studded with cherries pressed half-way into the filling. Chill through in the refrigerator,
covered. Garnish with whipped cream before serving. Those who wish to avoid using pre-made cheesecake filling can manufacture a delicious substitute using finely sifted sugar, cream cheese, full cream and a small amount of vanilla seeds. ¢

Museum hosts festive fare
u by Andy Bryenton
This holiday season the Mangawhai Museum, with the support of Stylish Homes, is extending its annual tradition of a festive fun day into a boutique market. On Saturday, November 30, between 10 and 3, Santa will be on-site amid all the trimmings of a crafty and creative Christmas. Museum manager Emma Gray says that last year’s success has prompted an expansion in the direction of gift ideas and ‘made in Mangawhai’ festive fare. Gaylene Lawrence, coordinator of this special event agrees, noting that in previous years items like homemade preserves were wrapped up quickly by eager crowds. “There will be a variety of Handmade in Mangawhai preserves for sale and because we sold out so quickly last year, a lot more stock has been made this year, plus a greater range of products so be early and don’t miss out.” Alongside the stallholders, the museum shop filled with festive items, and the chance to grab a picture with Saint Nick on his sleigh, there’s also the nearby Stylish Homes show home, all decked out in Christmas cheer. Everyone who pays a visit to the Stylish Homes show home will go into the draw for a special prize at the end of the day. A fine selection of handmade gifts, crafted by busy locals all year, is now
This week a new theatre endeavour takes the stage in Mangawhai; not just a new show, but a new cast, a new crew, and a whole new company of thespians, musicians, writers and backstage helping hands. It’s the ‘birthday’ of the Mangawhai Players, and reports from their rehearsals indicate it will be a real coming of age. Director Susan Dugdale is impressed with the way the brand new theatre group have come together to encompass a challenging first performance. Especially as the play they have chosen, Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood, is one of her personal favourites. “Under Milk Wood is an unforgettable journey of lyrical genius. The profound meets the profane, and the result is sad and sensual, bawdy and beautiful. For lovers of language, this is unmissable.” Added to this is the pleasure of seeing a new theatre company come to life.

Music and sound, lighting and props, endless rehearsals of Thomas’ famously twisty prose; all the strands, says Susan, are coming together to create something unique. ¢

Flying high for rally weekend
Summer spirit
u by Andy Bryenton
Pilots from as far afield as Auckland’s Ardmore Airport came gliding in to visit the Otamatea Aero Club’s runway and hangars at Ruawai Airfield last weekend, as the club hosted the Flying New Zealand Northern Regional competitions.
p Aircraft big and small lined up on the side of the runway at the Otamatea Aero Club during their rally weekend p With the official start to summer just around the corner, warmer weather is seeing Kaipara residents enjoying many events around the district. Capturing the summer spirit down at Otamatea Marae bonfire night during the weekend was this young budding Jedi knight complete with a lightsabre to keep winter’s dark force at bay.
Oi!
DON’T TXT & DRIVE
Club president Tuhi Manukau says that there were a small fleet of light aircraft involved in the two-day event, which began Friday. It continued with competitions such as navigation and ‘bombing runs’, in which pilots pitch a ‘sandbag’ to strike a painted circle on the ground from the air, on Saturday. Tests of flying skill aside, there was a chance to get together, enjoy some camaraderie, and of course,
both a barbecue dinner on Friday and formal meal Saturday. Tuhi says that the club enjoys a long history, with its establishment in 1964 moving the name of an existing aero enthusiast’s club who were headquartered in Maungaturoto. He is one of two flying members left at the airfield between Tokatoka and Ruawai, though the number of visitors on the ground this weekend indicates the quality and good maintenance of the airstrip and its facilities. ¢

Ford tools on the field
21
AUTO
u by Andy Bryenton
Next week’s Whangarei A&P Show is a great opportunity to bring the best of the northern countryside to town for a day, allowing citysiders a chance to get up close and personal with rural life. It’s not all sheep dog trials and showjumping — this year Ford Tools is bringing their range to the show, following up on a busy year on the road. The blue oval brand offers a massive range of tools. Taking this offering out on the highway to visit events such as the recent Big Boys Toys expo and the CRC Speedshow has proven to be a challenge they were glad to accept. That is because there are just so many options in the Ford toolbox. From mancave accessories like bar stools and race-track couture such as weathered and ‘distressed’ Ford team hats, through to a selection of chrome and steel tools to fit any automotive issue, it all has to pack down into a portable showcase. That’s where the very clever design of the Ford Tools trailer comes in. This expanding showroom is a tool shop on wheels, with similar tricks to a mechanics tool chest. Drawers, doors and storage spaces pop open to turn the compact trailer into a walk-through display space. Compete with an awning and shade, mobile counters and of course, tons of merchandise in the blue livery of the famous brand. It sometimes even outshines the Ranger ute, which tows it to events all over the country,
and that’s no easy task. However, the ingenuity behind the Ford Tools mobile hub allows for the brand to get out there and engage with the public in a way that a static, main street retail store can’t. It’s worth the long hours on the road and all the time and effort poured into its development to talk face to face with people who love cars and auto culture. It expands the Ford Tools reputation at the same time. This latest engagement, at the Whangarei A&P Show, is a chance to take the message even further, introducing even more folks to the quality and utility of their products. Stop by and say hello! Currently, the trailer is in the care of local engineers West Coast Steelworx, who are expanding its capabilities to deploy faster and pack in even more merchandise. This is important before the forthcoming A&P as there are ample options for some Christmas gift shopping ready to be piled inside, like presentes into Santa’s sleigh. Dads, husbands, sons, brothers, boyfriends and uncles are easier to shop for when you’re staring down a veritable mountain of themed and branded tools that would make the perfect addition to any mancave or garage. ¢

Joining Bob Mitchell in the job of assessing safety for local drivers are young auto mechanics Harlin and Alyshia, who have worked at the centre for the full seven years it has been at its current location. They both agree that the idea to get fully qualified came from public demand. “We’re very thankful to our customers,” says Harlin. “Those who have supported us over the years most of all.

“So when we noticed that the waiting time to get a warrant was becoming a bit uncomfortable in town, we had to act.” Alyshia agrees. “We want to provide the best service possible, and being qualified allows us to better serve our local drivers.” With anecdotal evidence of some drivers even resorting to going out of town or being left with little choice but to drive with a lapsed WOF, the Warrant and Repair Centre team say they had

Now, with certificates on the wall, they are ready to join their colleague Bob in securing the road-legal status of local utes, vans, cars, motorcycles and trailers of all kinds. With three WOF inspectors ready to go, there should be plenty of spaces for all, though the team suggest calling them soon to beat the Christmas rush. ¢
