Thank you to the North Shore Community and Realtors who helped make the 25th Annual REALTORS Care Blanket Drive another success this year! We had big shoes to fill after our fearless leader Michele DeFehr stepped aside this year but we managed to do it! Coordinated by Elizabeth Dyer and assisted by Doug Reid along the way, approximately 300 bags of blankets and clothing were collected and delivered to local North Shore and downtown shelters and charities. Thank you to the North Shore News for promotional support, Park Royal, Capilano Mall and Lynn Valley Mall for allowing the community to drop off donations, Ferguson Moving and Storage for lending us your warehouse for our sorting party and your truck for delivery, Karen Gibbard for the pizza, Dave Smith from Smithwerks Carpet Cleaning for the beer, Natalie and Jennie Frizzo for the pop and chips, Craig Doherty and Elizabeth Dyer for the drinks and Nutrends, Mortgage Dave, Rick Buchamer and Smithwerks Carpet Cleaning for door prizes.... a special a BIG thank you to all of the Realtors who volunteered their time to make this happen.
