April 8 2020 BoD Meeting

• Email from Yolanda at AMA stating that the AMA is proceeding ahead with plans for the NATS. Decision to be made about the NATS will be on June 1. • NSRCA NATS ED speaks with Team selection group about alternatives for having a team selection in the event the NATS is canceled • Cancellation of the pattern NATS discussed. Item tabled. NSRCA president would call AMA to find out more information on the disposition of the NATS

May 13, 2020 BoD Meeting

• Lengthy discussion about the NATS • Other SIGs are cancelling. Most major events outside model aviation are cancelling due to large group restrictions • Restrictions in Indiana are not lifted. Hard to predict what is next. Each state has different restrictions, with state restrictions changing weekly • Restaurants are closed. How are participants going to eat? • Most districts report that interest are half the normal amount • A low turnout will cause a large financial impact to the NSRCA • BoD discussed alternate NATS locations and dates • Communications to membership discussed and finalized. Notices placed in the NSRCA Facebook page and District pages • Motion presented and passed that due to the restrictions and things beyond our control, it is the NSRCA’s best interest to cancel the 2020 Pattern NATS • Motion passes unanimously

June 10, 2020 BoD Meeting

• BoD discussed how the NATS would continue without involvement of the NSRCA • NATS ED discussed plans for a scaled down pattern NATS – no banquet, volunteers and minimal AMA staff • AMA providing funds as needed • Social distancing in effect • Motion presented to reverse the previous decision by the BoD to cancel the NATS. Lengthy discussion followed. Motion failed to pass by a majority vote of 8 NO 3 YES • Notification posted on NSRCA Facebook page and respective district pages

June 16 2020 Special BoD Meeting

• AMA conference call with SIGS conducted on June 12. Several SIGs attended this call, including the NSRCA. NSRCA was represented by the Vice President and the Treasurer • SIGs expressed their displeasure with the AMA’s reluctance to make a decision • By this time four SIGs had cancelled their participation • Pattern NATS ED resigns

June 17 2020

• AMA refunds NATS entrant fees to participants

June 18 2020 Special BoD Meeting

• NSRCA President resigns • NSRCA Vice President is appointed President by the BoD • Motion is presented and approved unanimously to inform the AMA that the NSRCA will not participate in the Pattern NATS, July 2020, Muncie IN. Letter sent to Rich Hansen, President, AMA. AMA acknowledges receipt. • Alternate dates and venue for a National Competition researched. Two proposals are being evaluated – one possible date and venue in September, another possible date and venue in October. Both proposals will be considered. One will be selected that fits the needs of our members. • FAI team selection discussed. FAI finals involving F and Unknowns discussed. Monte Richard, offered to hold Team Selection at Crowley, during the Cajun NATS in October • KFactor deadline for articles moved by one week to allow DVP’s to amend their July KFactor articles regards the cancellation of the 2020 NATS

June 23 2020 Special BoD Meeting

• BoD accepts withdrawal of Blytheville proposal • Extensive discussion of the Muncie proposal • Attendance, Logistics, limited time to plan event discussed • Board concluded that at this late time, continued planning for the Muncie proposal was not practical • President agreed to call event organizers the following day

June 24 2020 Call to Muncie Event Organizers

• After conversations with the three event organizers, it was agreed that planning for the NATS at this late date was not practical • Event organizers withdrew their proposal

June 25 2020 Formal Withdrawal of Muncie Proposal • Withdrawal of proposal accepted by the BoD
