Retrofit Republic is a sustainable vintage retailer with a social impact. We specialize in vintage and recycled clothing and offer styling to individuals, changemakers, and brands. Our vision is to change the belief that fashion and eco-sustainability are mutually exclusive. We believe social responsibility is necessary for any successful business — not an afterthought. As a values-driven business, Retrofit Republic is committed to impeccable style, sustainability efforts, and initiatives that benefit low-income populations, communities of color, and our LGBTQ family. Our services and private shopping sessions include customized styling to achieve an unique aesthetic with signature vintage pieces. With an eye for detail, customer service, and quality product selection, our services have been used by recording artists, electoral candidates, tech start-up founders, hip hop emcees, spoken word poets, legal advocates, community organizers, students, and others. Vintage pieces are our specialty but occasionally, we feature pre-owned, recycled, or refurbished garments and accessories that complement a vintage aesthetic. Just how no two people are exactly alike, we take great pride that our collection represents a diverse array of lifestyles, looks, and utility. Retrofit Republic actively works to build a community of entrepreneurs and small businesses through collaborations that empowers, acknowledges, and uplifts one another in the green economy. As we continue to grow, we will donate a portion of our profits to groups that serve under-resourced populations and the environment. We support initiatives that promote sustainable fashion, environmental education, and the meaningful works of communities of color in the green economy. We believe that beauty is all body sizes, forms, skin tones, and gender expressions. Our commitment is to uplift the diverse looks of our communities and promote the incredible aesthetics of people of color and the LGBTQ community. We pledge to protect our environment by reducing our carbon footprint in three ways: _We will recycle, retrofit or dispose unwanted clothing in a sustainable manner. _We will support groups that have an environmental social mission. _We will source from local independent designers and stores whenever possible.
