Where life interacts with infrastructure.

Nu Flow Is Leading Choice for Busy Las Vegas Buffets Nu Flow’s innovative solutions prevent busy and high-scale restaurants from encountering unnecessary expenses and downtime. When drain failures occur, which they commonly do in restaurants, the patented Nu Drain system is installed in-place, preventing excavation, which creates an environment too messy for food and sanitation, therefore causing business closure and lost revenue. Ditch the ineffective and costly repipe method and utilize Nu Flow’s nondestructive solution. Project: Use Nu Drain to rehabilitate failing sewer pipes without disrupting business operations. Customer: An international resort group that is one of the world’s leading hospitality and entertainment companies. Site: The buffet inside a 30-floor Las Vegas, Nevada, hotel and casino, built in 1989. This buffet has eleven international cooking stations and is the only buffet to offer enhanced self-serve beverage stations with 150 Coca-Cola flavors, as well as unlimited wine and beer. The hotel and casino is known for its artificial volcano along the Las Vegas Strip that erupts several times each night and its lobby’s 53-foot-long and 8-foot-tall, 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium with approximately 1,000 types of aquatic creatures and plants. System: The 4" diameter cast iron sewer main for six floor drains within the buffet. These pipes are 25 years old and located beneath the servers’ walkway of three food stations. Problem: The pipe line experienced slow draining and other common failures. A camera inspection revealed that bottoms of pipes were missing, so the customer decided to look for a nondisruptive repair solution. Circumvention: If this customer chose a traditional pipe replacement solution, the entire buffet would most likely have to be closed for an extended period of time. The food stations near the failing pipes would have to be closed or moved, the ground above the pipes would be dug up and the pipes would be removed. After new pipes are installed and the pipe system checked, concrete, dirt and/or flooring would have to be put on top of the pipes. This would cause a lot of destruction and disruption to business operations, resulting in lost revenue for the customer. This process would be much more expensive, time-consuming, tedious and inconvenient than Nu Flow’s process.

Nu Flow’s nondestructive solution permitted the ability to rehabilitate the failing drain lines without causing any disruption to normal business operations, preventing lost revenue for this high-profile customer.

Solution: Thanks to Nu Flow’s nondestructive technology, the buffet did not experience any downtime. Skilled Nu Flow technicians installed the patented Nu Drain solution to successfully rehabilitate the 4" diameter main. First, the drain pipes were cleaned using our pneumatic tools, bringing them back to their original diameter. Then, the Nu Drain system was installed using Nu Flow’s patented Pull-in-Place technology. The liner cured, creating a new, seamless pipe-within-a-pipe. This structural liner covers all breaches in pipes and will prevent failures from occurring in the future. Using existing cleanouts as access points, the Nu Drain system was installed without causing any destruction, keeping the buffet open and running during the project. If you manage a restaurant in a building that is at least 10 years old, contact Nu Flow today before messy pipe system failures plague your business.
