GETTING THE GREENARY ON VARIOUS UPPER LEVELS OF THE BUILDING
NIRVANA is a hypothetical proposed site located in the Municipal Corporation limits of Pune city. The plot area is about 2 hectares (20000 sqm). The project mainly focuses on providing a ‘humane’ environment for the residents. Nirvana is a 32 floor high building consisting of a central service core with 40 sqm , 120 sqm , 160 sqm , 200 sqm and 240 sqm flats. The corridors and flats are naturally lit and ventialted.

TREE COLUMN IS USED TO JOIN THE THREE SERVICE AND AMENITY FLOORS PROVIDED AFTER EVERY 9 FLOORS. THE TREE COLUMN IS A STRUCTURAL COLUMN SUPPORTING THE CANTILEVER FLOORS AND ALSO ACTING AS A VISUAL TREE AT HIGHER LEVELS.

Nirvan’s residential block consists of ‘four’ different type of floor plates and ‘three’ service floors Every floor has the same service space but different amenity space with it. Floor type ‘a’ consists of four 120 sqm. units with double height terrace and two 240 sqm. unit . Floor typr ‘b’ consists of four 160 sqm. units and two 200 sqm. units with terrace garden. Floor type ‘c’ consists of four 120 sqm. units and two 240 sqm units with terrace garden. Floor type’d’ consists of eight 40sqm units with a central core. On service floor ‘a’ the amenity space is dedicated for kids and students where they get to enjoy the open space. On service floor ‘b the amenity space is dedicated for adults where library space and seating space is provided. On service floor ’c’ the amenity space is dedicated for the elderly where they get

Tree columns have been provided to supoort the service floors. The tree columns also adds to the aesthetics of Nirvana and thus acts as an humanizing element. The service floors act as a connecting bridge between the 3 blocks.

Palden Lmao is made keeping mind the tibetian culture that is seen around. It is a structure that blends with the surrounding as well is sustainable and is made of modern concepts. Taking the concept of roof and stepped planning from its architecture Palden Lmao has been made. Thus forming a contemporary structure based on traditional principles . Palden lmao is a convention centre with a central atrium with a curved roof facing south for maxiimum heat gain. The rays enter the atrium through the roof and hit the reflective surfaces provided on the column. Below the colour glass sheets are put. Thus when light is reflected through these colour sheets at the ground floor it will create natural pattern according to the light being received.

GRID LAYOUT
Shield is a parking structure of four floors made for the users using metro . The form is inspired from a rubic cube , where the second and the third floor appear in a twist , with the structural grid remaining same as the groundandfirstfloor. Shield has 500 X 500 square columns and 2 sets of staircase on the opposite sidees and on the other two sides lift and toilets are provided. Various servies like caar wash are also provided . It also has a wooden cafe and a seating are a for relaxation. The facade is made to reflect the concept with punctures made for light and ventilation.

2019 -2020 G-SEN ENTRY Locus is a hypperal Pune city designed on the lines imagining how would the city would evelove if the British percepts wouldnt have brought the legacy of colonial architecture and planning. The city would rely on and retain the existing resources and traditional strategies would flourish in all sectors and be true to the Indian spirit of organic accomodative and functional settlements.

2019 ANDC ENTRY TOP 20 Kadus is a village near Pune with strong historical background. The proposed design is given to save the dying culture of the ‘Barah Balutedar System’. Four design proposals have been given at different locations in the village to preserve its culture and fulfill the present and future needs of the village. The four design intervention strive to keep the bond connecting the ‘Bara Wadi’ together while retaining the orignality of its traditions and culture.
