Learned to observe the tiny details while designing, practical aspects of building construction and how to work as a part of a team , and complete my work on time within the given time constraints.

While architecture is supposed to be a culmination of problem solving and experience building, very often it is reduced to plagiarism in the name of rapid urbanisation. Architecture as a practice is forgetting that its main purpose is to sustain life and not business, it needs to be peoplecentric, culturally aware, site specific and sustainable. These qualities are what make architecture of a given time, timeless.

01 NIRVANA THESIS

LIBERATION THROUGH ARCHITECTURE

Architectural structures have always tried to tell stories, showcase power, or bring art and science to a building, symbolism in architecture helps us recognise the interactions between artistic endeavours and the technical skills used to develop and build a structure. Architecture won’t help deceased people, but it could help to keep their memories alive among the living. One could understand how a human life ends and connects to the beyond. Death is an entire existence gone in a moment, a full stop. Darkness, despair, grief, these are the emotions of the departed one’s survivors. Thus , architecture helps one to tap into human emotion and transform the feeling of the user experiencing it.

While a few look at death as a natural cycle or a balancing act of the nature, death is not just decaying into the dust, cold and forgotten. Death is a beautiful land of dreams where one could escape the harshness, troubles, and greyness of reality. When one sleeps, one dreams; and in death one would be dreaming forever eternally united with nature. Many people talk about after death they shall be together, it is a form of afterlife where one is free.

The roof above the atrium is a curved glass surface (curving in the south direction) to gain maximum sun rays. The rays enter the atrium through the roof and hit the reflective surfaces provided on the column.
