She believes architecture is a never-ending process that should not be labeled specifically but to be explored and seen as a whole holistically. Looking architecture as a story will never be easy but she convinced there is always metaphoric thinking when it comes to describing — by listening, sharing and telling, and it is all started with a narrative.

Noah’s Ark
[L]
2019 | Zoological Garden, Southern China Academic Master‘s Degree
Instead of creating an artificial world for the pandas in zoological gardens, the project aimed to construct transportable shelters that named as „Noah’s Ark” for the endangered animals, ones which can be easily found and visited by humans. The journey to the site is made by hot air ballon since there are no roads leading to the panda’s habitat and the mobile structure are to be set up at ever new places in forest that have sufficient food resources. The experience will thus evoke associations with the exotic adventures such as those portrayed by Jules Verne. „In presence of Nature’s grand convulsions, man is powerless” - Jules Verne What remains is the shape of the hot air balloon, which no longer rises but, freed from its envelope, hangs down as a strutted structure like and oversized hanging chair and is attached to the existing wilderness. In these structures are not only the pandas, but also the people, so that both are equally shielded from a potentially hostile environment.

The hypothetical concept is to create a journey emulating the migration of pandas from one place to another in order to look for their source of food. The structure is an attempt to symbolise the creation of Noah’s Ark which is to protect pandas from harm or, in this case, starvation. All the 4 chosen sites are located at Southern China, where the pandas originally come from.

01. Mobilising the Habitat To provide a mobile structure that is periodically able to change the habitat without necessitating any natural demolition and is able to offer endless bamboo supplies for pandas. The structure will be situated for a maximum of three years at each location (Site A > B > C > D and repeat) allowing enough time for the bamboo on site to grow and mature for pandas to consume it. For ease of handling, parts of the structure can be assembled and dissembled. 02. Maximising the Habitat Giving pandas more freedom to roam about within their natural and original habitat without any obstructive barriers or differences in temperature. This demands more space for them to interact with each other, with the ability to develop physically and cognitively. 03. Endless Movement and Multiple Experience This project represents an exploration for humans too who trace the experience of pandas on their migration journey in search of food. A long and endless trail begins with visitors’ arrival on site on a hot air balloon. They then stroll around site without any end point or destination. The trail and materials create multiple interactions for both pandas and humans with flora and fauna at different latitudes. 9

2018 | Institutional & Public Space Titiwangsa Park, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Academic Bachelor‘s Degree „What was once a park that breaks the people away from the compact and rigidity of the urban city scrapes is now has gone its essence, leaving it being as just a park that served a space for recreational purposes without any sense of identity. “ - Author An introduction center for the visitors to the legendary park, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city. The idea is to create an appealing visual structure that has capability on filters ample sunlight through, where visitors can enjoy and comfortable being in and/or under it. To complement with the big ideas, geodesic structure is chosen as to challenge on emphasizing the ground contouring of the site. It will create a great contrast between the nature and man-made yet still complementing each other as the the plants will grow towards the structure overtime. With that one timeless direction, a series of design exploration begins, in finding more possibilities of formation from the fluidity can be found in nature.

01. Sense of Attachment to Nature The absense of interaction between human and nature has heavily result to the lack of attachment of the local community to the place. By constructing a pavillion garden cum visitor center not only to educate the future generation to love their Mother Earth, but also to play a major role on the importance of leading a sustainable lifestyle especially living in the city. The sense of affection towards plants will naturally absorbed into human overtime. 02. More Greens, More Dense! The crucial idea is to bring in more greens and shaping a denser floras into the site. This is to reflect and bringing back the originality of Titiwangsa garden which was once denser with trees, and simultaneously create a sense of identity of the place. It serves as a “break” for the community living within the proximities that are stuck with future development and living in a whole bunch of conrete blocks around them. 03. An experimental Programme Titiwangsa park will be enhanced with the presence of the pavilion garden which act as a landmark of the new and refreshing programme; which allow visitors, especially city dwellers and childrens, to learn, observe and practice of farming in the city. Concurrent to the objective of the project, to create a better lifestyle for the future generation. 17

01. (Un)Defined (In)Formality A very defined market stall block to create an undefined yet intriguing flow for the master planning. The blocks will be positioned in different orientations like a small village to create interesting not-defined circulations. This allows the project to stimulate human experience and also to mimic the real scenarios on city. The vernacular-approach is adopted to create familiarity to users in the marketplace. 02. Invididual and Group Compact Stalls Each stand-alone module is designated to house 6 to 8 stalls with 4 different types of the store. The sellers block which will contain 2 different in size according to needs and a services. Within this module, wet corridor space is planned for utilities and services (water tank and drainage). These services area is in a linear form to host back-of-house activities. Meanwhile, the upper corridor and some rooms are also designed for storage spaces and/or other activities such as cafe, staff area and offices. On the other hand, one single trussed area contains all loading, cleaning, categorizing, packing, storage, fridges, distribution, and administration area. 03. Roma Sitopia [S/L]
2021 | Adaptive-Reuse Historical Cavities, Rome, Italy Academic Research & Design Thesis Master‘s Degree
Even for a city as significant as Rome, the absence of connection between aboveground and underground influences risks to the city remaining detached from its past historical events and prevent it from evolving. Rome appears to be gradually morphing into a complex archaeological layer cake, resulting many ancient streets being submerged beneath the modern surfaces. Constantly abandoning these structures would result in underground cavities, which potentially may cause a collapse of modern Rome. In order to reclaim and reactivate the cavities, a Sitopia-n program is proposed. The method allows the locals to generate underground food, creating constant movement and utilising the abandoned cavities. Sitopia allows humankind to educate themselves on the food production system, gathering insights into the where, what and hows. The transition of the space will present a meaningful relationship of past and present, facilitating a connection for visitors in-betweens of Rome’s history, architecture and food while forging new memories on the strongest of foundations.

ANALYSIS: A study on the underground cavities of Rome conducted to analyse the geological context of the areas affected by the phenomenon. The susceptibility can be determined by categorising the probability of the cavities’ existence into following groups. MANIFESTO: Change is most likely not inevitable for the city such as Rome to risks their city unless its favourablefor the city to indulge more in the possibilities that can be both cultural and economical benefits, via food.

01. Sitopia <Food,Place> as Temporal Showcase The proposal gives a solution of dealing with constraints while promoting a powerful effect for its purpose and then shifting it into the realm of memory. The interventions are mainly built lightweight, mobile, easily assembled, and disassemble to keep it economical. Food is certainly the most efficient way of reaching and attract a large number of people at one time. The memories and experiences by the people through the Sitopian program will be taken away and it left the structure to its original state, but with a different meaning embodied to bunker, as it is being introduce as new spatial and programmatic ideas to places, and have the potential to infuse abandoned structures with a new life. 02. Scheme of Linearity These cavities has the potential to be developed further as a series of transitional space which can be overlaid with the Sitopia’s „Farm to Fork” order. The transitions are a gradation of spaces and programs that embedded different scales, densities, and address the different intersections between the local historical context aboveground and underground. 41
