Logo Rationale and Core Logo The big belly for The Makan Museum Logo represents fullness, satisfaction, happiness and foods. The logo intended to be dynamic to represent the multi racial ethnicity in Singapore. The main logo uses two main colors, red and white to represent Singapore. The shape on the other hand represents steam. The visual language visual language of the typeface evokes contemporary asian feel.

食品馆 This is a representation for the Chinese culture settings in The Makan Museum . The significance of red symbolizes fortune and joy in Chinese culture and it is found everywhere during the Chinese New Year.

Muzium Makan This is a representation for the Malay culture settings in The Makan Museum . The shade of green is used in green wrist band containing islamic calligraphy to identify themselves as Muslims, for flags and National flags including green as a symbol of Islam.

The Food Museum This is a representation for the Eurasian culture settings in the Makan Museum. There is no specified color to represent this group of people. I choose this color because it represents life, growth and harmony.

Khādya sangrahālaya This is a representation for the Indian culture settings in The Makan Museum . The shade of purple is used to represent the indian culture in The Makan Museum. It is to symbolizes creativity, mysticism, spirituality and faith.
