ADMISSIONS INFORMATION
Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) / Business Administration Accountancy (Honours) & Master in Public Policy
MASTER IN PUBLIC POLICY PROGRAMME (MPP)
The MPP programme offers a foundation in policy analysis, programme evaluation and management for the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Graduates will acquire knowledge and skills to work for a wide range of organisations, including governments, think-tanks, consultancies, private sector, multilateral institutions and community-action groups.
BACHELOR OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (HONOURS) (FOR ECONOMICS, POLITICAL SCIENCE, SOCIOLOGY OR SOCIAL WORK MAJORS) OR A BACHELOR OF ARTS (HONOURS) IN PPE (PHILOSOPHY, POLITICS, AND ECONOMICS) & MASTER IN PUBLIC POLICY (MPP)
The programme aims to develop versatile graduands who are able to tackle big public policy issues in a complex global context. This programme allows students to pursue a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree concurrently. The programme structure allows some of the requirements for the Bachelor’s degree to be counted towards the Master’s degree so that students may graduate in 4.5 to 5 years with both degrees, instead of 5.5 to 6 years if pursued separately. Students will graduate with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) (for Economics, Political Science, Sociology or Social Work majors) OR a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) and a Master in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
Curriculum
The curriculum draws from the disciplines of economics, political science and public management and is complemented by a wide range of specialisation courses and electives. Common courses focus on imparting knowledge, developing practical skills and promoting interdisciplinary competencies.
With specialisations, our students will acquire depth and sophistication in their selected areas of policy expertise. To graduate with a specialisation, students will have to pass at least five courses listed in that specialisation along with the respective gateway courses.
