What do you think are the most important muscles to exercise for martial arts? Chest? Biceps? You name it! Which have helped you the most?

admin answers: Can you name any muscles that you don't use for martial arts training? If I'm not mistaken there are something like 600 muscles in the human body. You seem to have the mistaken idea that developing strength will compensate for a lack of skills. Skills and technique are always more important than strength. The martial arts were developed so that they do not require strength to beat an attacker that may very well be stronger, bigger, ... Anyone that thinks that strength is a very important factor in traditional martial arts simply does not get the whole concept of martial arts.

What is the name of this exercise and what muscles are used? Hi everyone. I've been doing weightlifting recently, and I thought all was okay, until I read over the description of the exercise... Now I'm not sure if the exercise I'm doing is benefiting me in any way... I have the dumbbells at my sides, then I slowly lift one of my arms up to the side of my chest, hold it for a few seconds and lower the arm to my side again. Then I do the same with the other arm. Can anyone tell me if this exercise has a name, and if possible, the muscles that this exercise benefits? Thank you. =)

admin answers: It sounds like a hammer curl to me as well which is a form of bicep curl. It works the biceps mostly but it also works the shoulders and forarms a little bit. I would suggest reducing the weight a little bit, and keeping on doing sets untill you start to feel
