Why wont my edge three tremelo stay in tune when i use the whammy bar? I just bought an Ibanez RG series guitar and every time i tune it it almost immediately goes back out of tune. I loosen the bolts on the nut, tune, then tighten the bolts and then it is out of tune again. I finally get it in tune and then i use the whammy bar and it goes completely out of whack. I just need some help learning how to use the edge three and i thought the point of the locking trem was to keep it from going out of tune.

admin answers: Well, most guitars with a tremolo system will often times be harder to keep in tune. The best system is Floyd Rose, but these are a true hassle to get set up properly, or reset if you change gauge or change tuning. You can use what is called a tremsetter by Hipshot on most systems. It works like a charm on one of my Strats with floating trem. However, it does make the unit a little stiffer and harder. To my knowledge these works with the edge system too. Just a quick question, you have stretched the strings properly before tightening the nut bolts and adjusted the trem properly? In any case, you may want to take a look at several videos found on youtube regarding how to restring and adjust these units. What do I need to change a head gasket? Hello everyone, I am going to be changing the head gaskets in my 98 Ford Crown Victoria 4.6L V-8. Besides all the tools I'll need and of course the head gasket, what parts and supplies will I need to get the job done without having to leave the house to grab a forgotten part. Also what should I take advantage of while I have the engine apart as in like replacing other parts or beefing up anything or any other type of preventative maintenance.

admin answers: You should have a torque wrench and a manual to tell you what the torque sequence and torque specifications are for torquing the head down. Also some manufacturers recommend replacing the head bolts if their torque to yield bolts. A flat edge should be used to check for warpage. Other stuff to consider replacing when doing the job is the valve cover gaskets, thermostat, spark plugs, sparkplug wires, carb.gasket or fuel injector o-rings. As far as using Per-ma Tex I'd check to make sure that's advised because I can't say I remember using any silicone on the heat gasket itself, however some do call for using sealant on the head bolts if they happen to pass through any coolant passages. Good luck and hope this helps.

How do you remove the stock rear 6X9 speakers of a 1999 pontiac grand am SE? Thanks guys, but I already figured it out. Actually right after I posted the question.

admin answers: I'v never done this on a 1999 but I have done this on a 2002 grand prix which could be similar. Pretty much you need to remove the back seat. - First take out the bottom cushion, there are little pull tabs underneath to release it on the front edge (edge your knees are by). U might have to pull them out from being tucked in. - Second, take out the 2 large bolts that are now visible holding the back cushion. Now that the cushion is out you should be able to pull off that dash board back there. Most like its just held in with Christmas tree pins. The speaker grills are part of this dashboard so the speaker will now be visible. Its time consuming but easy since this was a 02 it could be different (more screws or somthing) but the concepts are the same.

How do rockets stand upright on the launch pads? How do Space Shuttles or other kind of space rockets stand still on the launch pads before the launch? How don't they fall down and what is the mechaism that holds them upright? I can't seem to find any information about this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

admin answers: The structure of the rocket is its frame. Much like a house, there are vertical beams and horizontal trusses that add to the mechanical rigidity of the rocket. Also, rockets tend to have a wider base then their top (very slight taper). Finally, the base of the rocket is held down by devices that keep the rocket in place until the engines are fired and build up enough thrust to launch. These hold down devices are kept in place by explosive bolts and only fire on command. The video clip below shows two big tabs that surround the bottom edges of the wings on the shuttle. Those devices hold the Shuttle in place until after the main engines fire http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFKT3IufUaA&feature=related Then there is this dramatic footage of the Apollo 11 launch done is super slow motion. The hold downs for the Saturn V are the "little" towers at the base. The film doesn't give you a sense of scale, but each of those rocket engines are over 6 feet in diameter! Looking for a way to mount a bow onto a Polaris Ranger? i've yet to find a way either through Polaris or through any of the after market folks i've seen. I'd like to not have to have in the bow case while riding if at all possible. The mounts that are available for ATV's and bows don't seem to do the trick. Any ideas?

admin answers: Hi there on my Polaris 500 sportsman i carry my browning ambush 60, this bow is 36 inches from axel to axel, i made my own mount across the front carrier, apiece of 2x4 bolted to the top of the flat front deck then 2 pieces cut on an angle to meet in the middle and sitting on the upper edge of the tube rack, this makes a shallow v. Now turn your bow limb down and set it in the v ,where your limbs touch the 2x4 put a piece of carpet, and tack it to the sides of the 2x4, then just bungee cord it to the 2x4,the draw back to running with the bow uncovered as i found out the first time through a mud hole is it gets covered in mud, so i cut a piece of light tarp, and wrapped it , if you are not running mud it will be fine, also don't leave your arrows in the bow quiver as they will shake loose , i put mine in the back box. Hope this helps it is not pretty but it works fine good hunting.
