Butterfly Camp
Explore butterflies and caterpillars and even eggs UP CLOSE! Use a hand lens to distinguish between different types of eggs and caterpillars. Study butterfly scales through a microscope! Examine which plants are best for pollinators. Be a scientist and participate in real data collection. In this five-day camp, butterfly volunteers will lead campers through hands-on lessons, engaging science projects, and various pollinator activities. Topics for study include habitat, life cycles, coloration and defense, and butterfly behaviors. All campers will also receive a caterpillar keeper/cage and caterpillar to raise at home! Summer Golf Camp Each week of camp will have campers going through different skill rotations to work on different aspects of their game. Living units range from air-conditioned bunk houses to a true wilderness retreat that older girls build themselves.
