ARKANSAS ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES

AUTISM INVOLVES ME

COMMUNITY CREATIVE CENTER
505 W Spring St, Fayetteville communitycreativecenter.org Community Creative Center is a non-profit studio and visual arts organization located in Walton Arts Center’s Nadine Baum Studios offering year-round, affordable arts experiences, including a variety of high-quality clay and pottery, watercolor, acrylics, drawing, mosaic and mixed media arts classes and workshops for children, youth and adults of all ages and skill levels. The CCC mission is to awaken the extraordinary power of art to engage individuals and communities through accessible arts education. Class scholarships are available.

These four conveniently located Child Development Centers provide services to children from six weeks to five years of age, diagnosed with a developmental delay or disability, including prematurity, cerebral palsy, autism, Down Syndrome, seizure disorders and others.

When you actively participate as a volunteer, you are part of a solution and you make a difference in the lives of our shelter animals. Opportunities are available for volunteers at the shelter, in the office, and at special events. We need people to walk dogs, socialize cats, and generally spread awareness about what we do and the great animals at the Shelter in need of caring forever homes. While we do accept volunteers of all ages, if you are under the age of 16 years old, you will need a parent or guardian with you at all times while volunteering. In addition, you must be at least 18 years of age to walk dogs.

Trained coaches use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional and physical skills in every girl while encouraging healthy habits for life. Girls face social pressures and conflicting messages about how they should act and who they should be. They believe that EVERY GIRL is inherently FULL OF POWER and POTENTIAL. By knowing they are the leaders of their lives, these are the girls who WILL CHANGE THE WORLD.

Jessica McClard launched the grassroots mini pantry movement in May 2016 in Fayetteville, AR, when she planted the Little Free Pantry Pilot, a wooden box on a post containing food, personal care, and paper items accessible to everyone all the time, no questions asked. She hoped her spin on the Little Free Library® concept would pique local awareness of food insecurity while creating a space for neighbors to help meet neighborhood food needs. WONDERS OF WILDLIFE
500 W Sunshine Street, Springfield Wondersofwildlife.org The Johnny Morris Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium is a nonprofit educational conservation-themed attraction in Springfield, Missouri. The 350,000 square foot facility consists of two major sections; the Wildlife Museum presents a series of immersive wildlife galleries of animals displayed in a variety of natural habitats and the 1.5 million gallon Aquarium showcases 35,000 individual fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
7HILLS HOMELESS SHELTER
1832 S School Ave, Fayetteville 7hillscenter.org Founded in 2001, 7hills began as a day center, providing meals, clothing, food, hygiene items, and other basic needs resources to people experiencing homelessness. Over the years, we expanded to provide more services at our Day Center, in addition to adding a wide variety of re-housing programs in an effort to be a part of a sustainable solution to end homelessness.
