• Place your baby’s crib away from furniture and away from the windows.

Did you know…. • Almost 800 children drown in the US every year.

• A child can drown in 2” of water - left in a blow up pool, bucket, or tub. • Teach kids to put their phones down and heads up when walking.

• Ensure children use sidewalks and cross at crosswalks to keep them safe.

• Wearing a life jacket is state law for kids 16 and younger on all vessels. • Use your head, wear a helmet to reduce head injury and death.

Drowning is quick. Once a child begins to struggle, you may have less than 1 minute to act. When out at dusk, put your kids in bright clothes and use lights to be more visible to motorists.

Slow down and stop if near a bus that is flashing yellow or red lights.

Fire Safety Fall Preven on

• Create and practice a fire escape plan. • Keep kids from climbing near windows.

Install working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and check them monthly.

Keep grills and fire pits away from your house and anything that can burn. • Secure kids when seated - high chairs, infant carriers, swings and strollers.
