Relay for Life!

Letter From The President Hey Hawks! This month is all about dodgeball and relay! We are staying focused on fundraising for relay and recruitment for next year. To do so, we are doing another annual dodgeball tournament! This is to get whole school involved in key club as well as to raise money for the American cancer foundation. I'm so excited to finish this school year strong and work over the summer to build our club!

Love,

The New

Out of the Darkness The Out of the Darkness Walk was definitely a walk to remember! It was fun helping them set up the event and seeing all of the different families walking to support the loss of a loved one or just supporting those contemplating suicides. Although the walk had a saddening mood to it, it was nice to see the families smile as we cheered them on and held up posters with thoughtful quotes. It was also touching to hear a little girl say that we made her day better. These little things are the ones that make me so proud to be in Key Club because we make a difference, whether it is big or small. I hope everyone else enjoyed this walk as much as I did and I encourage others to join next time! -Jazmine Marquez

At times, we are bothered by the things we value greatly. May it be our family, friends, school, what we have done, what we could have done, and what hope we have left in the future. The suicide prevention event at Centennial Hills Park gathered both the troubled and the compassionate and the NWCTA KC volunteers were able to cheer for the walkers. We held posters of encouragement, many fighting walkers, of all ages, had smiles across their faces. Remember, you are more than you can imagine so take the chance to live!

Key Club Induction Banquet

This year's banquet was entertaining. I loved the variety of food we had there, and meeting new people from other clubs and schools was a really great experience. Also, Banquet Committee was fun and I hope to be in it again next year. -Kyle Monato, Sophomore Rep

The banquet was fun and I really enjoyed. We got to meet new people and it was nice to see everyone together. I loved being in Banquet Committee because we all worked together and helped create amazing banquet decorations. Next year will be just as fun! - Christine Caro, General Member

Banquet Committee The banquet was very fun, and I loved it! I got inducted as an official Key Club member, and that was pretty cool. Being on Banquet Committee may have been stressful and challenging, but in the end we did a great job in decorating, planning, and setting up the banquet. Can't wait until next year's banquet! -Jayden Curameng, General Member

I can’t believe it is over. When setting up or being in charge of any event, it is challenging but when we get to see the final product of what we have been working hard on it makes it all worth it. I have absolutely loved this experience and cannot wait for next year to do it over again. Such a great turn out and thank you to everyone who showed up! - Julie Malonzo, Banquet Chair
