From ye Editor Hello Hawks! My name is Natalie Valenzuela and I’m your 2018-2019 Key Club Bulletin Editor! As the new bulletin editor I’m so honored and proud to be in this position and to grow with the club. I’m excited to take pictures at our events and be able to document everything Northwest Key Club participates in. I am also excited for everyone to see all the newsletters I will be creating throughout the term. Don’t forget to send in videos as well as pictures to help with the monthly newsletters! Thank you for all the hard work hawks and thank you for reading my first newsletter! With love,

From The President Hey hawks! I’m so glad we’ve started the term off on the right foot and I can’t wait until we dive further in. As the year is coming to a close I just wanted to remind everyone that service doesn’t stop when school does! Keep an eye open for summer service opportunities and possible socials! Hope you enjoyed this year and I hope to make next year even better. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please don’t hesitate to contact me! Sincerely,
Leah Mazzola Leah Mazzola
END OF THE YEAR BANQUET Planning any event for school is always going to be stressful- from seating arrangements to decorations to food, it’s a lot for someone to organize. Luckily Malia and I did it together and it turned out great. From the beginning we knew that the Tangled theme was what we wanted and we immediately went to putting together invitations and table pieces. After several meetings with the help of banquet committee, every aspect was prepared for banquet night. I’m so thankful that I got to be a big part of my last key club banquet and seeing people get their awards, chords and to be able to bond as a club one more time made all the stress worth it. -Andrea Alaca Event Planner

OTC was a very informative experience. I learned so much on not only how to be a good Vice President, but also a great leader in general. I met Vice Presidents from all over our region. Even though they didn’t give us any food, I was still very appreciative for the opportunity. I am very excited for this term because our board and so many ideas and we are determined to accomplish them all ! Watch out y’all bc ya board on the come up ;) -Matthew Garcia VP of Service
RTC Theme
This year’s RTC theme was announced at OTC and it is AVATARTC!! District 28 West will be the Air Nation!! So make sure your spirit gear ties into the theme of your district as well as the theme of RTC. Beginning this year, Northwest will have a policy of an acquired amount of 10 hours that must be obtained to be able to attend RTC. Opportunities for service will be posted during summer through remind and on google classroom. :)
