I have to say that I never thought this is where my Key Club journey would lead me, being the president of my club! From being a shy kid in the back of the theater with almost no friends to getting the chance of leading everyone and providing an amazing experience this time! That being said, I am extremely excited for this upcoming year. Not only because of the general Key Club events such as RTC and Fall Rally, but also because of how amazing this year's board is. They are all dedicated and motivated people! I couldn't have asked for a better board even if I tried. Although last year was one of our best years yet, I am confident that we can make this next one just as great.

M E E T T H E

PRESIDENT

new board Hello Everyone! I'm Adrian Sayas and it is my honor to serve as your 2019-2020 Key Club President! I've been apart of Key Club since my freshman year at Northwest, and I've loved every moment of it. This club has given to me a family that I can't help but feel a connection with, and all of you are apart of that family! I can't wait to help make it an amazing year with all of you!

VP OF FUNDRAISING

GENERAL VP

Hi I’m Anjella Manucat your general Vice President for the 2019-2020 term. Though out my whole high school career I have gained indescribable love for Key Club. As an upcoming senior unfortunately it will be my last year in key club, but I am excited for all the new opportunities and new faces that will be added this year. I will do everything I can to make this the best year yet. (:

Hello, my name is Dyla Menchaca. I am the 20192020 Key Club VP of Service. I look forward to giving our members a variety of service events to go to as well as many they can do on campus. VP OF SERVICE

Hello Northwest Key Clubbers! I'm so excited to serve you as your Vice President of Fundraising for the new term! It's so funny how the last time I had to make this was my sophomore year and now we here! One of the things that Key Club was lacking this year were fundraisers! I can inform you that I'm already making a list of fundraisers to fund our club and create scholarships for those wanting to go to RTC, Fall Rally, and DCON but don't have the money to do so! I cannot wait to start the new term off and serve you guys with all my heart <3 Stay servin' Hawks!

SECRETARY

My name is Ingrid and I’m currently a sophomore going into my junior year and your 2019-2020 Secretary! So far this term has been enjoyable and I genuinely feel like the coming term will be something great for me and for the club in general. I ran for secretary after two years of being a general member hoping to become more involved in Key Club and do more in the club. So far I definitely feel like I will be able to accomplish that during my term as secretary. As secretary I want to do everything I’ve been tasked as best as I possibly can with accurate information. I also want to try to give members more recognition for their accomplishments and include them as much as we can in club decisions. I hope this year’s members will be back next year and that we have many more new members join next year. I would like to encourage members to complete as many service hours as they can. Service can even be done during the summer, just be sure to have the contact information of your class representatives!

BULLETIN EDITOR

TREASURER

Hello, my name is Aaliyah Delbarrio and I am going to be a sophomore. I am also the NWCTA treasurer for the 2019-2020 Key Club term. I decided to run for treasurer because I love helping others. Key Club has given me many opportunities to give back to others. It has taught me the importance of giving, even when you think there is nothing to give. Seeing the smiles on people’s faces when you volunteer is one of the main reasons why I love being in Key Club. I also ran for treasurer because I wanted to be more involved in the club. I want to give others a chance to help out those in need. During this term, I would like to have more socials and member participation. I want to have more socials because it will allow us to not only grow closer as a club, but also as a family. I want our members to be more involved as well. I’m so excited to be your treasurer and I can’t wait to see what this term brings us!

Hello again, Hawks! My name is Angelique Tanaquin, your bulletin editor for the 2019-2020 term! I am excited to have the opportunity to keep the club up-to-date on service events, volunteering opportunities, and deadlines. I love social media and I’m so glad I get to put my social media-ing to good use ٩۹( ᐛ ) ‫ﻭو‬. I cannot wait to grow and learn with this club. Don’t forget to send those articles and visuals!

JUNIOR CLASS REPRESENTATIVE

SENIOR C LASS REPRESENTATIVE

What up, it’s ya boy Robby Lapak, and I’m here to be your guys Senior representative for the 2019-2020 school year. I’ll do my best to make sure your guys hours are in and that y’all have a really fun year. Key Club has given me a place where I can feel at home and make friends with everyone there, and I want to be able to give back to this club that has given me so much. I can’t wait to have another amazing year with this new board and all the new members. Stay awesome hawks. Love you 3000 ;pp

Hello Key Club, I’m Michelle Olden your 2019-2020 Junior Representative. I’m so excited to begin a new year with the amazing key clubbers you all are and can’t wait to achieve more great things together as a club! As I begin my 3rd year on board I hope to make a better impact on the club and with the key clubbers to ensure we all enjoy ourselves and the activities we do to give back to our community. In this new year I strive to bring our club closer together and build a strong team bond to work and learn together. I’m always ready and happy to help my club and fellow key clubbers so don’t be shy to ask me any questions you may have or to simply say hello!

SOPHOMORE C LASS REPRESENTATIVE

I will be a sophomore in the 2019-2020 school year:) I ran for sophomore rep because I am making it a goal to try being active in Key Club all four years. I also find that when I play a specific role for a club it gives me more of an incentive to attend and contribute to it. Another reason is because I wanted to make improvements regarding our fundraising activities. I hope to bring new ideas on how we can spread more school spirit while helping the community. Have an amazing summer and hopefully you can find some time to volunteer too! <3

SERGEANT – AT - ARMS

I’m Aneka Castillo, and I’m very excited to serve as an SAA this coming term! There is literally no way to describe how proud I am to be a part of this community I call family. Key Club has truly found a permanent home in my heart. I couldn’t be more glad to be given such a huge opportunity. I spoke loud and clear when I said I’d always be there. Not just to take the members’ hands when they reach out, but to reach out when they need a hand to take. I may be loud, but I’m always there to listen. I understand the magnitude of our club, but I really will make an effort to know all I can and do all I can. I’m glad I have the chance to help make our members’ experiences amazing and unforgettable. Right now, I’m just counting the days down because I really can’t wait to see what the future holds.

SERGEANT – AT - ARMS

SERGEANT – AT - ARMS

Hey guys I’m Angelo, and I’ll be one of your SAAs for the 2019-2020 school year! I’m just a little senior who wants to make sure all key clubbers have a great time. As an SAA my main goal (is of course to get us the win at RTC with some great cheers) but also increase unity as a club through fun means. I hope to bring many members together with many fun icebreakers and activities. Here’s to another great year in Key Club!

I’m Angie Reyes! A upcoming senior in class of 2020. I’m in the Early Childhood program area. I’ve been in key club for the past three years and I love this club so much. It created a lot of new friendships for me. I am filled with joy for this upcoming year. I can’t wait to see all the returning member and new faces. <3

RELAY FO This year has been my 3rd year going to relay and I think that it was not my best year. But, I had so much fun helping out with cooking the lumpia/turon (banana lumpia) and giving them to nearby customers. In addition, I had so much fun connecting with other Key Club members in our Northwest Team through an intense game of Volleyball. In my opinion, this year's relay wasn't considered the best year, because not a lot of clubs were selling as well as we did. For example, most clubs were selling snacks, while for Northwest, we sold sort of like homemade food. Also, there was barely anybody selling Key Club merch! (which was looking forward to LOL) Nonetheless, relay 2k19 was still so much fun because of all my friends making it so much better <3 -Chloe Tabayoyong

OR LIFE

20 19

Relay for life is such a heartwarming event. Hearing people’s stories and knowing that we are not alone through the luminaria ceremony was unforgettable. Being in an welcoming environment full of fun and laughter is what makes me want to come back every year. A big thank you to the south relay for life committee for hosting. All the hosts were so kind and creative allowing us to bond with other clubs by having activities such as dodgeball, butter beer race and Mrs. Relay. I cannot wait for next year. -Anjella Manucat

The Officer Training Conference was a really fun experience. We got separated into different workshops based off of our position. Since I am treasurer, I got placed in the treasurer workshop. In this workshop, we learned everything we need to know about being treasurer and how to make the club as best as it can be. I got to meet the other treasurers in our region and we all exchanged contact information. Overall, I thought it was really fun meeting people from different districts and I look forward to this term! -Aaliyah Delbarrio
