NEIGHBOURHOOD ENTERPRISE COACHES CHESHIRE & WARRINGTON ­ c £26,000 pa

Could you unlock the potential for enterprise within neighbourhoods? Could you do this by supporting individuals and communities to realise their dreams? Would your work inevitably support broader partnership effort to transform disadvantaged neighbourhoods for good? If so, you will be inspirational, passionate about community regeneration, entrepreneurial, a partnership builder, a problem solver... and possibly one of 7 Coaches we are looking for to pioneer this work in neighbourhoods across Chester, Crewe, Winsford, Ellesmere Port and Warrington as part of an innovative community support programme through until April 2011. Each Coach will work to support people to identify and overcome their own barriers to enterprise within an identifiable neighbourhood community being employed directly by a local community– based organisation. The Coaches will work with each other and with a wide range of partners including mainstream business support organisations to develop an integrated approach to promoting and supporting an ongoing culture of enterprise in these communities. This initiative is sponsored by the Cheshire & Warrington Economic Alliance and funded by the Northwest Development Agency. It is managed on behalf of the NWDA by BCT Regenesis Ltd. These posts are 37 hours per week, however individual areas may be flexible. CONVICTIONS The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act allows for a person who has been convicted of a criminal offence involving a sentence of not more than 2.5 years imprisonment and who has since lived trouble free for a specified period of time (related to the severity of the offence) to be treated as if the offence, conviction or sentence has never occurred. This is known as a spent conviction. However, the provisions of the Act relating to non-disclosure of spent convictions do not apply to employment by the Blacon Community Trust.
