Object:
The Design Team will be required to provide a fully co-ordinated and costed scheme for the internal refurbishment and fit out of the building known as “Shorelines” at Shore Road, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH41 1AG which is a former Victorian, brick, railway shed previously used by the Littlewoods Organisation for the secure processing of Pools-based postal gaming. The building is not listed but greatly contributes to the heritage of the area and the Works will have to respect this architectural context. The refurbishment and fitout of this building will comprise the installation of a new mezzanine floor, new internal heat, cooling and environmental
systems to create Grade ‘A’ office accommodation
and exciting common part areas. The refurbished building will be fully DDA compliant. The Design Team will comprise 1 consultant from each of the following disciplines:

The total value of the services to be procured from the Design Team is likely to be in the region of 170,000 GBP, excluding VAT (or its equivalent). The value of the services to be procured in relation to each discipline listed above is likely to be in the region of: •
Quantity Surveying: 25,000 GBP;

Architecture: 75,000 GBP;
•
Civil and Structural Engineering: 25,000 GBP;
•
Building Services Engineering: 35,000 GBP; and
•
BREEAM Assessor : 10,000 GBP

The economic and financial capacity criteria are “PASS/FAIL” 2

Bidders in relation to the Quantity Surveying discipline will be short listed and the successful bidder in relation to the Quantity Surveying discipline will be selected and appointed prior to the short listing, selection and appointment of successful bidders in relation to each of the other disciplines.

The successful bidder in relation to the Quantity Surveying discipline will, as part of its scope of services, assist and advise the procuring entity (as required) in the short listing, selection and appointment of successful bidders in relation to each of the other disciplines.
Award Criteria:
The most economically advantageous tender in terms of the criteria stated in the invitation to tender or in the descriptive document or in the documents provided therewith.
