EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Marketing team wishes to appoint a single supplier to design and manufacture plaques for Agency-funded projects for a period of 2 years. The appointed supplier will receive an initial order of 150 standard Agency plaques with further orders placed on an ad-hoc basis for the duration of the contract. The current standard Agency plaque is 12”x12” and consists of an mdf base with a perspex panel containing 2 colour logos. The marketing team are open to suggestions to redesign the plaque to make it more suitable for display in contemporary buildings. RFQ001 V3/AO Issued: Jan 2008

The Agency has a sustainable procurement policy. Suppliers should source environmentally friendly materials wherever possible. 3.
METHODOLOGY
The Agency is seeking to establish a contract for a period of 2 years commencing April 2008. 4.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The procurement of Agency plaques will be managed by Lucy Clarke, Marketing Executive. 5.

Successful supplier appointed and all suppliers notified of outcome.

CRITERIA FOR ASSESSMENT
Criteria for appraising responses submitted for this project are: • •
Suitability of proposed design and materials. Cost and subsequent value for money.
Suppliers wishing to quote for this work are required to: 1) Complete the requested information; as per the Contractor Response sections 1and 2. 2) Confirm acceptance of the Agency’s Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract for Goods. 3) The supplier appointed will also undertake to obtain agreement to the Agency’s terms and conditions of contract by all sub-contractors working on behalf of the Agency (if applicable).

FORMAT OF PROPOSAL Your proposal should be structured as follows: • • • • •

Proposed design of plaque. Please contact Lucy Clarke at lucy.clarke@nwda.co.uk to obtain the NWDA logo for use in your proposed design. Details of materials to be used. Cost breakdown. Any subcontractors to be used must be stated in the contractor’s bid and cannot be changed without the prior written permission of the Agency. Lead times – we require that you are capable of delivering the initial 150 plaques within 4 weeks of the award of this contract. Please confirm within your proposal whether you can meet this deadline. Alternatively, we would like you to confirm what your lead times are. Financial proposal (see below).
