“THE OVERWHELMING BLAST OF LAYERED CITRUS ABSOLUTELY CRASHES OUT OF THE BOTTLE WITH AN OLFACTORY BANG.” THIS MONTH’S STRAIN OF THE MONTH IS ONE OF RYTHM’S INTERNAL BREEDING PROJECTS THAT IS TAKING THE MARKETPLACE BY STORM! A CROSS BETWEEN AGENT ORANGE AND SLIMER OG, DAYGLOW #1 IS AN EXQUISITE EXAMPLE OF THE RANGE OF CITRUS POSSIBLE ON THE PALATE.

Coming in with just under 3% total terpenes, this flower has entered the market as one of the loudest cultivars in Maryland – and one of my new personal favorite aromas!

Needless to say, I was unprepared for the overwhelming blast of layered citrus that absolutely crashes out of the bottle with an olfactory bang. The first blast smells just like a fresh orange grove that slowly reveals notes of a meadow and vineyard. But as the Cannabis rests a bit, the aroma coalesces into a quintessential grapefruit scent – sharp and tantalizing. Up next are notes of blueberry and sweet hibiscus, blooming with the faintest iota of gas to round out the profile.

After grinding, that touch of gas rockets its way to the top of the nose, morphing immediately into an explosive ball of grapefruit fire that creates a polished profile, fit for the Maryland hall of fame.

The high performs much like you would expect a flower with 1.8% myrcene, complete with a stoney, heavy-lidded effect that still retains a touch of motion and a special kind of energy. The Dayglow #1 slowly creeps into the eyelids like the sand in an hour glass passees from one chamber to another, gently but steadily building the weight to create that quintessential myrcene headspace we know and love. It is not a full sedater, however – just before the stoniess starts to approach the couch-lock state, you TESTING 22.83% Total THC 2.91% Total Terps mellow out into the famed “stoner’s focus.” It’s not every day 1.81% Myrcene that a toker will 0.36% Caryophyllene stumble across this 0.2% Ocimene 0.19% Linalool 0.14% Eudesmol 0.1% Limonene determined, tunnel vision type of high. Distraction melts away as the helping hand of the Cannabis reaches up and lifts attention, steadying the gaze forward. Needless to say, my productivity and pain relief for the day were insane.
