MARYLAND LEAF BUDTENDER OF THE MONTH KEDRICK JENIFER

KEDRICK JENIFER has worked in the Maryland Cannabis industry for nearly four years and was a member of the original team who opened Trilogy Wellness. A Baltimore native with a previous background in retail and an aspiring (and very talented) musician, he is passionate about quality care and providing patients with proper education and guidance. Kedrick immediately took a strong interest in terpenes and has been a leader at Trilogy in this area for years (if you are lucky you may even get to see his magic green notebook), spreading that knowledge with his teammates and patients alike.

HOW DOES IT FEEL HAVING BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY IN MARYLAND SINCE IT FIRST STARTED? It’s been an amazing experience. I didn’t quite understand the magnitude of how big this industry could be, until I witnessed how much medical Cannabis was needed. It feels good to be a part of an industry that makes a difference.

HOW HAVE YOU SEEN THE INDUSTRY CHANGE OVER THE YEARS? Over the years, the industry has taken an immaculate turn with helping medical Cannabis gain a respectful understanding in our community. A dispensary is no longer a place of discomfort, the result of that shows with the increase of medical patients. Good education and committed budtenders like myself is what helps such an evolving industry succeed.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU MAKE? Rap music.

DOES CANNABIS INSPIRE YOUR MUSIC? Yes, Cannabis inspires my music by allowing me to think outside the box. I believe it brings forth a deeper tunnel vision of focus.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR MAGIC GREEN NOTEBOOK! My green notebook started as a gateway to enhance my knowledge of Cannabis. I’ve collected countless research that in return helps me adapt to the patients I assist daily. I feel that this book adds value to future wellness advisors that seek to sharpen their skills.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES OTHER THAN MUSIC? Watching movies and sports, listening to podcasts, playing basketball and collecting souvenirs from places I travel.
