BUDGET-CONSCIOUS CONCENTRATES
LEAFMAGAZINES.COM
When it comes to budget conscious concentrates, there can be a lot of less than appealing options to sort through. Most daily dabbers have been scorned by some black tar looking boof that they preordered, hoping they were getting a good deal for once. The good news is that in recent years, the processes and manufacturers have improved greatly. Granted, they may not be diamonds or hash rosin, but they also aren’t sticky obsidian goo. So for the concentrate lover who finds themselves going through more grams than they can afford of the top shelf stuff, these options can be a good opportunity to give your wallet a break.
MAD DOG 4/20 - TANGIE
The cheapest of these options at only $17, Mad Dog’s Tangie also has the deepest amber color of the three. While it looks saucey in the jar, it is a thicker jam-like texture and is easily manipulatable without feeling like it is going to fall off your dab tool. Though quickly cough-inducing in larger quantities, this dab still has a lot of the usual citrus notes that one would expect from Tangie. The high is euphoric and a little bit clumsy, making it a great sativa for unwinding right after work, forgetting the mess you left behind at your desktop for future you to deal with. MILLENNIUM EXTRACTS MAUI WOWIE
Admittedly, I cheated a little on this one. Technically, the only reason that this dab was $20 is because it was on sale. But it still counts! Millennium has been a solid staple in the budget conscious concentrate game for some time now, producing multiple types of extracts and carts as well. Their Maui Wowie is a bit chunky, but still sticky enough to not have to pull too much of a balancing act on the way to the dab rig. The taste is tropical and smooth, lingering for a while. As for the high, it is uplifting and motivating – perfect for tackling a house project or just getting outdoors. @MILLENIUMEXTRACTS | MILLENIUMEXTRACTS.COM
DABS - BLUEBERRY BREATH
At only $18, Dabs’ Blueberry Breath is a great deal. If I had paid $25 or even $30 for this, I wouldn’t be upset. The wax texture is incredibly nice to work with, sliceable and scoopable without any crumbling. Both parent genetics of this strain shine through in the taste, with light berry notes up front, followed by spicy gassy notes on the back end. After smoking this strain, you can expect a cerebral and contemplative high that is calm and positive – making it a great complement to more introspective activities like yoga or meditation.
