Oregon Leaf Budtender of the Month AMANDALAIRD
BACK IN my budtender days, every once in a while we would get a new person that you could tell had their eye on the prize – focused, and determined to be better than the person next to them. Amanda is one of those people. As a budtender she knows all the right answers, but pushes herself each day to succeed in an ever-evolving industry. Her cool, calm nature brings me back every time – she’s a true blessing to the Cannabis scene in Oregon.
ON A SCALE FROM 1-10, HOW AFRAID OF THE DARK ARE YOU? I’d say a three, depending on what scary movie I recently watched.
TOILET PAPER, OVER OR UNDER? Under – so my cats don’t get any ideas of unraveling the whole roll!
FAVORITE STONER ADVENTURE YOU DO ON A REGULAR BASIS? There is nothing better than enjoying my high in nature. It’s my weekly goal to escape the city and go for a hike. Once there, I find myself losing track of time – with a joint – to the sights and sounds of one of the majestic waterfalls we have in our area.
IF YOU HAD TO PICK BETWEEN BEING ABDUCTED BY ALIENS, OR BEING POSSESSED BY A SPIRIT OR GHOST, WHICH WOULD YOU PICK? I’m a believer in both, but the space nerd would choose aliens to hopefully experience something we can’t even imagine on Earth.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BREED OF DOG? I haven’t had a dog in so long, but would love to own a Doberman or Great Dane.
FAVORITE THINGS YOU BAKED IN THE PAST, AND BAKE NOW? I make these gorgeous patisserie shop cream puffs, but they don’t last long! My very favorite thing is a dark chocolate layer cake, or the every-flavor pound cake that makes a frequent appearance in my kitchen.
FAVORITE FARM OR PRODUCT IN OREGON? Deep Creek Farms is always producing the best flavors, effects and cultivation of sativa flower, and Toa Gardens has the best indica bud being grown in top-notch living soil. Extractioneering will get my vote for extracts because of the terp profile they preserve in their shelf-stable products.
