Tasty’s is a Portland-based edible company specializing in Cannabis infused cookies and gummies. I was fortunate enough
to try the chocolate crinkle, which is a 50mg cookie infused with a broad spectrum extract. Tasty’s uses different terpene combinations formulated by Johan, a Ukrainian physicist, in order to create the desired effects (active, balanced, calm). Tasty’s also utilizes sunflower lecithin, which adheres to the THC molecules by making it more bioavailable for the body to metabolize. I shared the cookie with a friend and within 45 minutes of ingesting half the edible, a relaxing wave of euphoria washed over my entire body. The balanced, calming effects were perfect for an afternoon of leisure and lounging in the central Oregon sun.

The lavender’s slightly bitter yet floral flavor is perfectly balanced by the honey’s sweetness. Tasty’s does not utilize any corn syrup in their gummies in an effort to keep all ingredients organic and as simple as possible. I ingested five pieces just before going on a hike with some friends and I felt the edibles kick in about an hour or so into the adventure. The balanced, grounding effects were a perfect match for the slightly steep and treacherous hike my friends and I were embarking on. Just like the cookies, consumers can choose between active, balanced, and calming effects, depending on what the day calls for.
