During the next few days, you will connect with other new Bearcats, become acclimated to campus and have some fun!

Your planner includes optional events scheduled just for you!

Transfer Advantage Checklist:

☐ Visit the Bearcat ID Office to take your Bearcat Card photo, if you haven’t already.

☐ Verify your enrollment in CatPAWS between Aug. 15 - 26.

☐ Pick up your textbooks at The Station. Be sure to verify your enrollment in CatPAWS first and take your Bearcat Card with you. If you pick up your books on Thursday, you will need to walk to The Station to avoid Move-In Day traffic.

☐ Complete your parking permit registration in CatPAWS if you plan to have a vehicle on campus. Then, pick up your parking permit at Student Account Services. You will need to know the make, model and license plate information of the vehicle you are using while on campus. Be sure to take your Bearcat Card!

☐ Sign the Laptop Agreement in CatPAWS, then pick up your laptop. Be sure to take your Bearcat Card!

☐ Start using your meal membership. Your membership is active beginning Thursday, Aug. 22.

☐ Check your Northwest email account daily.

☐ Have fun and meet other new Bearcats!

The transfer advisement team is available to help you throughout the year if you need assistance. They will continue to email you during Transfer Advantage and throughout the semester.

Your faculty advisor, once they’ve been assigned, will be listed at the top of your Degree Audit and will be your main academic resource.

Each year, Northwest plants a tree dedicated to the incoming class. This year, the incoming class of 2024 tree, a Patriot Elm, is located near the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Stop by today to take a photo with your class tree, and be sure to visit again on graduation day!

After you get settled, walk to pick up your laptop and textbooks between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Be sure to take your Bearcat Card with you!
