1998 Bayliner 4788
It’s time to call Boynton Yachts and arrange a viewing of this beautifully maintained and upgraded Bayliner 4788.
This well-maintained Bayliner 47-footer is perfectly suited for cruising in the Northwest, with a mixture of enclosed and open-air recreational spaces, a raised pilothouse, a flybridge helm station, and three luxury staterooms to accommodate up to six people.
Decking throughout is non-skid fiberglass, with custom teak-style Sea Dek for the deep-well cockpit and swim step. The cockpit also has a transom door and a deck shower. The main cabin features a bright, neutral-toned salon with a built-in, L-shaped settee on the starboard side aft. The sofa wraps around a convertible hi-lo table and faces two barrel-chairs and a cocktail table opposite. An entertainment bar is located forward, with a separate sink, ice maker, built-in blender, and beverage cabinet to starboard. The salon is also equipped with a Fusion stereo sound system and a flat-screen TV.
Forward of the entertainment bar is an open, U-shaped galley, allowing easy conversations with guests during meal preparation. Appliances include a three-burner electric stove with oven, an upright Norcold refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven, a trash compactor, and a double stainless steel sink.
Four steps up from the carpeted salon is the pilothouse, providing excellent visibility and plenty of seating, with another L-shaped couch to port around a center table behind the helm. Navigation equipment includes two Garmin 12” touchscreen displays, interfaced radar, VHF marine radio, GPS, autohelm autopilot, electronic chart plotting, a depth sounder, a wind speed indicator, and two Danforth compasses.
Dual sliding doors allow access from the pilothouse to the side decks, while interior stairs climb up to the flybridge. The topside helm features a mounted helmsman’s chair, bench seating midships to port, and access to a spacious boat deck with a Force 10 BBQ.

The aft flybridge deck has a Bimini top and space for an Avon hard-bottomed RIB tender with a center console and 40-hp outboard. The RIB can be moved with a davit system rated at 750 pounds.
Three steps down from the salon leads to the cabins, including an owner’s stateroom with a centerline island queen-sized berth. Aft to port is the dressing/bunk cabin, which can be used as an extension of the master or converted into a double guest stateroom with two bunks. Aft to starboard is the private master head with an enclosed shower/tub combo. Aft of the master head is the guest day head with a stall shower. Across to port is the VIP guest stateroom with a double berth. The lower deck also features a clothes washer/dryer and central vac system.
Powering it all are twin Cummins Marine diesels, each with 1,012 hours of use. Their combined 660 hp output gives the vessel a cruising speed of 17 knots, topping out at 21 knots.
