L.Y.C Sponsorship Guidelines There are so many fabulous events happening in the community. L.Y.C sponsors events which provide us with an opportunity to extend the reach of our ‘Love Your Condom’ message. Please read the following information and complete the attached form carefully. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered for sponsorship L.Y.C aims to build a condom culture across New Zealand. Specifically, we are working to achieve the following outcomes: A condom culture among gay and bisexual men is developed and maintained Condoms are used in sex on site venues A condom culture is supported by those that influence gay and bisexual men Increased condom use among highly sexualised gay and bisexual men Regular condom users maintain healthy behaviours Increased resiliency among young same sex attracted men It is important that your event contributes to one or more of the L.Y.C outcomes. Sponsorship Application Process Apply for sponsorship (no later than 2 months prior to the event) Fill out the sponsorship request form. Keep your answers succinct Email/post the form to the L.Y.C Sponsorship Co-ordinator contact@loveyourcondom.co.nz with ‘Sponsorship Request’ in the subject line The Sponsorship Co-ordinator will contact you with a decision within 15 working days Should your application be approved, the Sponsorship Co-ordinator will discuss a specific plan for L.Y.C involvement at your event. At a minimum you will be asked to: o Sign an agreement outlining the details of benefits to each party. This agreement must be signed and returned within 5 days of receiving it. The signed agreement must be accompanied by an invoice. o Acknowledge the sponsorship e.g. on websites, newsletters or signage o Provide access to the event for L.Y.C staff and champions o Provide a plan for condom pack distribution o Provide a post event report of L.Y.C involvement within 10 working days of the conclusion of the event Funds will be paid after the event, upon delivery of the conditions of agreement and on receipt of invoice. Funds Available Sponsorship amounts are usually between $150.00 - $500.00. It is also possible for L.Y.C to develop longer-term relationships and provide sponsorship for a series of events throughout the year, or invest in an organisation, venue, event or initiative. We call these relationships ‘partnerships’. If you would like to develop such a partnership, you are encouraged to get in touch with us for an initial meeting to discuss your ideas.
