International Co-operation Year
This ~ear - 1965 - is the 20th Anniversary of the United Nations. The General As8ellbl~ of the United Nations has designated 1965 as International Co-operation Year and has suggested, among other things, that Member States should issue a special stamp to commemorate International Co-operation Year. New Zealand is • founder member of the United Nations and will issue a special stup as tangible evidence of support, not only for the underlying purposes of International Co-operation Year, but for the United Nations itself. The stamp measures 37mm x 21mm and has been printed in twocolour lithography in sheets of 120 by Messrs Thomas De La Rue and Company, London. The SUbject is based on a co_on design prepared by the Graphic Presentation Unit of the Printing Section of the United Nations Secretariat. The design of the stamp includes. symbol corresponding to the aim of International Co-operation Year. The denomination of the stamp is 4d and it will be issued on 28th September. It will be withdrawn from sale at post offices on 6th November but, unless stocks are exhausted earlier, may be ordered by post from the Postal Division until 30th June, 1966. Health Stamps, 1965
The 1965 Health stamps depicting the Kaka, 3d postage and 1d Health, and Fentail, 4d postage and 1d Health, are available at all post offices and may be ordered by post from the Postal Division,

5. Rubber Hand-eancellers and "First Day of Issue" Slogans
Rubber Hand-cancellers For the International Co-operation Year and the 1965 Christmas stamps the first day of issue rubber canceller service will be available at the Chief Post Offices, Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Wellington; Persons residing outside the four main centres who Wish to have covers marked with the rubber cancellers should forward their remittanc~s and addressed envelopes to the. Chief Postmaster, Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, or ~ellington, with a request that the envelopes be cancelled with the rubber canceller. A servicing fee of 2d for each cover should be included in the amount of the remittance and the outside cover or wrapping should be marked "Covers for cancellation with handcanceller". Special posting boxes will be provided for use by local residents at the Chief Post Offices at Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Wellington. "First Day of Issue" Slogans "First Day of Issue" slogans will be used at the Chief Post Offices, Auckland, Christ church , Dunedin, and Wellington. Special posting boxes will be prOVided for local postings at the four offices mentioned. Residents outside the four main centres wishing to have covers marked with the slogans should follow the procedure outlined in the preVious paragraph. Requests from outside the four main centres for either the rubber canceller or the "First Day of Issue" machine canceller service should reach the office concerned by 24th September for the International Co-operation Year stamp and by 7th October for the Christmas stamp. The services outlined under the headings "Rubber Handcanceller" and "First Day of Issue Slogans" will be available at the Chief Post Offices, Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, and ~ellington, in respect of all forthcoming New Zealand special
issues. The service does not apply to Cook Island issues nor may Cook Island stamps be used on mail posted in New Zealand. 6. First Day Covers
The Post Office has produced its own first day cover. The covers bear the Post Office coat of arms in colour and the words "First day cover, New Zealand Post Office". They will be on sale for 2d each at permanent post offices before the end of September. In the Fostal Division, the covers will replace the plain white envelopes formerly used when clients did not supply their own addressed envelopes. 7. Revision of Servicing Fees

Pacific Flights of Adelaide, South Australia, propose to operate a special charter flight between Rarotonga-PenrhynTahiti and return to Rarotonga during October next. Philatelic mail will be carried on the flight. Information about the services to be provided may be obtained from the Chief Postmaster, Rarotonga. The stamps below are referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2.
