ASAP SYSTEM Accelerated Shrimp Aeration Production System Sustainable Indoor Shrimp Farming
Accelerated Shrimp Aeration System To produce high-quality Shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei) by utilizing a commercial super-intensive, recirculating system. The ASAP System uses state-of-the-art aeration and the Activated Bacterial System Biofloc Technology. The system is a truly 100% ZERO water exchange RAS. All the water will be kept all the time in production and will only recover evaporation losses. The system uses the best recirculation equipment according to the needs to keep the water in constant recirculation to ensure a consistent production and the re-use of the water cycle after cycle. The systems has one of the best state-of-the-art aeration devices depending on local conditions, density and energy costs used in the Aquaculture Industry. The system is based on the bacterial technology known as Biofloc to ensure the water quality and health status of the animals in production. This is based on the Nitrification process that ensure all the toxic nitrogen compounds to be completely oxidized and a unique probiotic bacteria management known as Activated Bacterial System (ABS) that is an exclusive management of Integral Aquaculture Services and has been developed after years of managing commercial super-intensive systems in many parts of the world. The Activated Bacterial System (ABS) is a unique bacterial consortium developed specifically for closed super-intensive RAS after years of experience in managing these systems. The consortium’s function is one of the key elements of the system for many reasons like: 1) keep water quality optimal by degrading organic matter, 2) improve shrimp digestion by colonizing the gut thus assisting in the enzymatic activity which improves growth and reduces FCR, 3) helps to maintain water quality healthy by competing directly with potential pathogenic bacteria by either exclusion or nutrient intake. The Biofloc produced by our management allows attachement surface for nitrification and also becomes nutritionally valuable for the shrimp. In the optimal concentration, the Biofloc assist in the shrimp nutrition as complement to artificial diets, which helps improving FCR thus reducing the total feed costs.
Main Characteristics of the System The ASAP System is providing the full package of system management: tank management, water quality, water preparation, Biofloc Technology, Biofloc maturing, Biofloc Management, shrimp production yielding, Shrimp health management, microbial management, water quality Management, shrimp biometrics and shrimp harvesting. The system is for a production of shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) with an initial density at harvest of 6.5 kg/m3, 25 gr final harvest size and FCR 1:1.6 The ASAP include unique water quality and bacterial management together with a basic manual of the Standard operation procedures (SOP’s – Manual). This will be for both initial water preparation and bacterial consortium initiation, which is the base of the Biofloc Management Technology.
