football match prior to the Monaco GP alongside a select number from pre-programmed-to-play teammates for the F1 team Giancarlo Fisichella, Sébastien Frey, Pecco Bagnaia, Ivan Capelli, Antonio Giovinazzi, Jorge Lorenzo and F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. The Star Team For The Children MC team facing off against the drivers included legends of sport such as Novak Djokovic, the world champion of jet ski Lisa Battaglia and ex-soccer players such as Jérémy Menez and Jérôme Rothen. A selection from Flavio Roma, Frédéric Déhu, Claude Puel, Sébastien Pérez, Greg Campi, Valentin Liénard and ironically a racing driver, Daniil Kvyat completed the team that faced the All Stars Drivers. And also ironically another would-be driving ace playing against the racing drivers. The young performer Bakian has come from the world of sports to that of singing. A 15-year-old kart champion, he used to dream of “Formula 1” but did not have enough finance to back it up. So he became a singer with a powerful, generous voice and still with the athletic ability to be a threat on the football field.

The 30th World Stars Football Match, on May 23rd, organised by Mauro Serra and the Star Team For The Children non-profit organisation, was a dazzling and exciting display of sportsmanship for charity. Fans gathered at the Louis II Stadium in Monaco to watch the world’s best F1 racing drivers take to the pitch and play against footballers from the AS Star Team for the Children. Both teams showed off their football skills in front of myriads of happy spectators. Monaco’s own Charles Leclerc, as well as Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz Jr and Pierre Gasly (but not Max Verstappen this year) participated in the charity

The team led by Charles Leclerc, with inspired effort in the second half won the match (4:3) in front of Prince Albert II. This 30th edition of the World Stars Football Match like the previous ones, raised funds to support the Star Team for the Children association, which helps underprivileged children. Present at the meeting, the Sovereign presented the victory trophy after the final whistle. Earlier, he kicked off the second half.
