Monte-Carlo TV Festival: The splendid 62nd edition awards its Nymphs

The Monte-Carlo Television Festival from the 16th to the 20th of June concluded in the presence of Princess Charlène accompanied by Marie and Louis Ducruet and presented by the American actor Ricky Whittle and by the French content creator, Léna Mahfouf. The golden & crystal remarkable prizes, reproducing the shape of the classical Nymph Salmacis statue kept at Louvre Museum, are considered some of the most important acknowledgments. Princess Charlène presented the Nymph of Honor to Howard Gordon. The honorary nymph is the highest distinction of the festival awarded to a renowned professional for his exceptional contribution to the entertainment industry. Howard Gordon is the screenwriter and Hollywood producer at the origin of the series “X-Files”, “24 heures chrono”.

The Prince Rainier III Special prize, which rewards a documentary dealing with an environmental theme, honoured “Until the Last Drop”. Two other special prizes were also awarded, that of the Monegasque Red Cross, “Oasis of Peace” and that of AMADE for the documentary “Russia, The Stolen Children of Ukraine”. Best Film went to “Le Colosse Aux Pieds d’Argile” (triggered by the true story of rugby player Sébastien Boueilh) which also won the Special jury prize. Best Series went to “Ten Pound Poms” and Warren Brown was named Best Actor for his impressive performance. Marie Reuther was awarded the Golden Nymph for Best Actress for “Chorus Girls”. The Best Creation was awarded to “The Seed” which also won the BetaSeries Public prize. The jury president for this was Tom Jennings (John Goodman for others) overseeing three prizes: Best major news report “Life on the Donbas frontline”, Best Documentary “The Man Who Played with Fire” and Special Jury Prize “Nazanin”. Golden Nymph for the Best International Hope went to Julia de Nunez for her role in the biopic “Bardot”.
