Gisborne Gazette Thinking sustainability

Gisborne Girl Guides joined Woodend and Lancefield Guides on 20 February to celebrate Thinking Day and undertook the challenges involved in earning the Thinking Day badge. The badge syllabus is a worldwide story with activities based on the theme of helping to reduce climate change in our own environment.

The girls had to explore the local environment using their five senses and discussed the link between all living things on the planet.

The final challenge is for the girls to ‘Walk the World’ (they will do it locally) to spread the message about caring for our environment and reducing the impact of climate change.
