Communications Assistant Position Overview OPDC is seeking an intern to assist the Executive Director with website and social media management, marketing material production, and data management. This position has a flexible schedule. Responsibilities
Design flyers and other promotional materials in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop Manage calendar of events and news posts on OPDC, School 2 Carerer and JobLinks websites, all hosted on WordPress Assist in social media account management: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Assist with data entry on various community projects
Position Requirements Education: Upper-level undergraduate or graduate level preferred. Knowledge, Experience and Skills: Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and/or Adobe Photoshop. Proficiency in WordPress. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data entry. Strong attention to detail. Interest in community development, urban studies and public service. Salesforce experience a plus. Duration and Compensation This position is open for the summer. Candidates interested in continuing into the next semester will be evaluated at completion of internship. A small stipend will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications.
