On this most special of days, people can pour their first mimosa or Bloody Mary at 8 a.m. and not even get a funny look. It’s the day where you can see the occasional cat fight among sorority girls in the mud at 2 p.m. It’s the infamous event known as Steeplechase. Every year thousands of locals gather in Belle Meade for the event.
