THE ORGANIzATION, “OASIS SPEAKS,” IS A NONPROFIT organization. This organization helps victims of domestic violence receive counseling, and provide resources for support while victims go through transition of stability. The organization provides trainings and motivational speaking. They provide trainings for safety planning, community resources, restraining orders, mentorship, court advocacy and provide counseling for families. Carolyn Jones is a motivational speaker for Oasis Speaks. Moore’s presentations relate to her personal story of being a survivor of domestic violence and her life after abuse. Jones says, “In my daily walk, I stay close to the Lord and I Let your light so shine before men that they may see my Good works and Glorify Him which is in Heaven.” Matt 5:16. Although Moore had a horrible abusive past, she knows her testimony will help others. She has turned her abuse into a positive tool to educate and empower victims to find refuge and a safe haven. Carolyn’s presentations include skits and full theatrical productions about domestic violence. Her most recent production, Angel’s Palace, a true story, and Women Shoptalk while Real Men Wait, is Jones violence domestic story. She uses theatrical productions to help others visually see how abuse can be fatal.
